Here is my update: I must admit I am really enjoying this blog and I have pondered getting another one to make a convoy, anyway so here is the 50 cal I thought I'd photograph it against the instructions to justify how many pieces you have to add. I feel this is a massive step for Academy and I hope they continue to add excellent detail to their future kits. I also started to add detail to the outside of the M1151 which include the BF tracker or white box according to Brett Green and finally the antenna. Cheers Martyn

Nice job on the .50...it's good to see manufacturers adding more detail in these areas to the kits...gone are the days when it was all one piece!

Hey Martyn,
Detail looks great. I have the modern bronco kits, but might off load it for one of these, as i hear legends are producing a conversion for the most up to date SF version usinf the M1151 as a base.
Any plans for the dio ?
chris.

Thanks Gary! Tony yeah I lost one to the carpet monster so it shouldn't take long to scratch another one and the m1151 doesn't belong to my government.. we can't afford luxury vehicles like this for our army

Well I have taken photographs but after having laptop issues and now photobucket is down you can't see them, so if you can't wait could always come over to my house and look at the M1151 in person Martyn

Thanks Mark, the kit isn't that bad for what you pa as you can build it out of the box no problem as well as room for extra detail. One word of advice don't bother going to town on the interior you just don't see anything As for the Lav I was just getting really bored with not building or painting and I did have an idea to put them together as a joint op but I now have other ideas....
