M1151 Afghan workhorse

Well I'm back from my holiday and I really can't wait to finish this now as I have a ton of ideas for new projects so stay tuned for an update!

Right another update and hopefully the penultimate one.. But first a few of you may know my recent absence from MSC this is due to a trip to the capital of frog land, Paris. We managed to
do a ton of site seeing including the French Army museum which I as surprised at because up until now I had no idea that the French had an army Anyway here is a few pics of the museum...





Weathering has started with oil washes around the bolts and then a layer dust around the bottom of the M1151. I'm not entirely happy but with further weathering it should look better. I've gone off the idea of a diorama for now as I have a ton of other projects to start so thanks for following me this far.

Nice pictures!!! I didn't realize there was a war museum in Paris. Bet you saw a lot of old rifles that were never fired but dropped twice.

Your Hummer is looking good! Hope you are still planning to do the figure?

Thanks Andy, yeah it really doesn't have any vehicles in it other than the ones I posted but it has a ton of weapons and uniforms right back to the 15th century, I'm just compiling them into an album and will give you guys the link... As for the M1151 I will add a sniper in the turret and I'm still thinking of a diorama.

Looking good Martyn, nice to see this one progressing! On a side note, seeing the Pz II and Renault turrets reminds me of just how small/cramped those early war vehicles were!

Thanks for all your support on this one guys I have now finished the m1151 and added the sniper to the turret station.I would love to show you the final pictures but I cant find my camera! As soon as I find it I will update.

Looks great Martin! Nice finish. I dig the camo on the figure and his M14. I was lucky enough to see two brand new versions of this hummer of these on the back of a semi yesterday, heading South out of Chicago. Unfortunately, by the time I saw them they were gone so no pic:)
