Looks great. Like the skirt armor. Nice chips and scratches Can't go wrong with the panther and yours is just right

Base really depends on what you are using. If the base is already varnished just mask the edges and score the base where the plaster will go with a knife. A good tip is to add a little PVA or wood glue to the plaster mix as this helps it bond with the wood.
If you are making your own base then I would say varnish or paint it before adding the base work then mask when dry.

Superb work buddy! I always like to see a few hints of battle damage - especially where you can see where a few shell hits have glanced off. The Shurzen look spot on - I think you've just about got that weathering spot-on Great stuff! Ben
