Well since this is the Armor- All scales and eras tread I thought about posting a little about my 1/16 KT I'm working on. I'm third owner so it came built and painted by the former owners. My first thought was to strip it all down and do a soft 3 tone camo. But the more I looked at the photos I had received before it came in mail, the more the 'theme' grew on me. So I decided to continue the work on it the way it was, thus making it more mine. So here are the first shot's and more to come. DSC_9611 by maxsollie, on Flickr DSC_9612 by maxsollie, on Flickr

Yep it belongs here. very cool to see a big cat here. Nice paint and weathering so far. The scratches look very realistic

As you can se on some of the close up's , prev owners work shoves (remains of glue etc) , but as a rc kit and a backyard basher , unlike a statick shelf queen I did not spend money on expensive PE parst ore (beside the engine covers)Since the Tow cable holder and bracket set is a 115$ Once on the move , nobody will ever see.
Instead I spent money on the drive train. Adding (for those who find this interesting) a gearbox brace, Better idler axel and belt tension, and most importen :-) a gear reduction. And now I'm saving up for late style M belts with 18 thooth sprockets.
Also I could have added more weld lines, arround the tow cables holder etc, but I did not. On my next build(a clean kit I hope) I will attemp to do that.

So I started on the other side this weekend, and I also desided to try to add weld lines. Former owner had made some on the track hangers etc, but I wanted to get the hang of it my self, so I got some MP and had a go at it. Removed all the plastic (but I used the stock hangers and holders as on the other side) Made the side fenders more 'beaten up' (will have to paint them again) Made shell damage Weld lines .Time consuming ,but fun. Thanks for watching Remove: By maxmekker at 2012-06-02 Evergreen: By maxmekker at 2012-06-02 Side fenders: By maxmekker at 2012-06-02 Shell damage: By maxmekker at 2012-06-02 By maxmekker at 2012-06-02 Weld lines: By maxmekker at 2012-06-02 By maxmekker at 2012-06-02 By maxmekker at 2012-06-02

Nice work sollie. I like it.I really likr Rc tanks .The M4 Sherman tank was the primary tank used by the USA during World War II and it was also distributed to the Allies. In the UK the M4 was given the name Sherman after Union General William Tecumseh Sherman. Regards Helen nitrotek
