Tony, Carl, and DF thank you kindly gents! Luigi, glad you like the way the numbers came out. I was pushing the envelope on this one and the first tentative strokes with the blender brush were done while holding my breath! T, I'm looking forward to the pigments process as well although it's going to be a little more of a challenge due to those static tracks but I'll manage!

Looks great Bill, and can't wait to see more. A big beast like this one just cries out to be weathered.

Only a modest amount of progress to report in this session as bench time has been precious the past week. Still moving forward though and that's what counts! This round of effort dealt with applying a pin wash of MM enamel Burnt Umber to provide some depth to the raised details and add another layer to the finish. I used a small pointed brush to apply the wash and after it was dry, used the same brush and some clean thinner to make minor adjustments here and there. Next up will be the pigment weathering for the lower hull and track runs.

I need to go back a few pages to find out how you did those faded number "10"s.
Looking sweet!
Also, light grey drybrushing? Is that what I'm seeing?

Great update Bill, The pin washes bring out the detail. Keeps getting better and better! I love that faded "10", and still drooling over those tools!

Dupes, the faded out '10s' were a fun part of this one...had to think long and hard on how to pull that one off but found a great way to make it work. Definitely worth the experiment. No dry-brushing on this one, just the use of dot filters and fading, some of which naturally accumulated on the angular weld lines/surfaces on this monster. BJ, glad you like the progress, just don't get drool on your keyboard and you'll be fine. Joe and Tony, standard answers or no, I'll take it and much appreciated!

You are almost there!!! Only few more steps away from the finish line! I have followed your builds for like 4 or 5 years now... safe to say this is your longest build? But on the positive side you got your MBA degree and launched My Hobby Info product!

Thanks Luigi! Andy, because of the interruption in the middle this one's turned out to be the longest build effort chronologically speaking...but not the one that's required the most 'hours' of work. It waited very patiently for about 3 months where absolutely nothing got done on it, but very close to the finish line now!
