Yeah Buddy Tools of the trade are nice too. Another mile stone completed Tony lee Ain't that the truth Uncle Tony! Next milestone is the markings which are going to be fun as there are several very large ones to go on this baby!

Agree with guys here... great lightening work! One thing caught my attention... it carried only few spare tracks but its track are LONG! Looks like they were not concerned about carrying enough spare tracks because they didn't see a lot of heavy actions?

Agree with guys here... great lightening work! One thing caught my attention... it carried only few spare tracks but its track are LONG! Looks like they were not concerned about carrying enough spare tracks because they didn't see a lot of heavy actions? These guys were never seriously meant for combat use, they never got beyond the trial series of 5 vehicles. Only reason they were packed off to Norway was down to the facts that a) Norwegians didn't have any kind of armor of their own and b) they were meant to be intimidating/propaganda tools for the most part. The original fender layout made no provision for spare track links at all, it's something the crews added for the very reason you point out I'm sure! Luigi thanks for the comments on the tools, give it a shot and see if it works for you! That's the whole point to posting the 'how I did it' remarks so if others can give it a try, they can (and also so I can remember what NOT to do if it didn't turn out right!) Wouter glad you like the exhaust, I tried something a little different this time around. Given how big/prominent it is, I thought it needed a little extra depth/oomph in the finish.

Thanks MF and Joe! May I make a small suggestion before you apply decals and such? Sure John, fire away! Take some light grey and light brown and just highlight some of the raised details like I did with the SU below. Its not "full on modulation", more of a forcing the highlights, but when weathered down it allows for the details to stand out just a little bit, similar to dry brushing - but with 100% more control.

Thanks for the suggestion John! Will give it some thought, much appreciated. Nice work on the SU btw.

Of course! Not a requirement, just a suggestion. No worries John, always neat to see how others approach different things. It's how ideas/inspirations start. My 'experiment' with the muffler is a perfect example as it's not the 'normal' way I had been doing them previously.

For some reason this vehicle just doesn't do it for me...not sure why. Of course, I've said that before, and things have grown on me!
Nice build regardless. I'm a big fan of the brown-on-gray camo schemes (can't wait to try one myself!).

Ben now that's what I call an endorsement! Thanks mate. Dupes, you just have to embrace the sheer monstrosity of it. Kind of like your recent Flakpanzer...the German design bureaus sometimes went in very unusual directions! For me what I like about it is the 'paper tiger' aspect to it. The max armor on this beast was only 20mm thick. Strong enough to stop 2.0cm AP rounds but nothing larger!
