Thanks fella, fortuately the add on armour will all but obscure any foul ups I may make.
Little bit to do before the lid goes on, a dozen or more clear bits and some other stuff.

Yus Dicky, lots of those.
Just mixing up a special clear colour to daub them with...

Yus, I am led to believe they are a greeny colour so I am using a combo of Tamiya clear green and smoke.

Cheers guys!
Spud, full interior with the exception of the engine / transmission. There's enough going on inside to look busy especially once the roof is on.

Hello chaps Quick pic for you, all the upper hull parts sorted except the clear bits which I will add shortly and the exhaust shroud which is quite fragile so I will leave until the roof has been fitted.

Hi Mence,
I've built one of these in a past life, You have made me want to get one of the 7 i have in the stash out and do another. Always wondered about the AFV tracks, i'll have to get me a set.
I'm looking forward to the update.

Hi Mack, sincere apologies for taking almost a month to respond fella. Great kits aren't they, fantastic subject!! The tracks I can recommend for the simple reason they snap together and remain workable, very useful. Right, still avoiding trying to stick the top and bottom together I opted for an easier route and started the weapons station. All pretty much fits as it should, I have assembled it into the fewest 'lumps' possible before painting. Primer on so all going well!

On a bit of a roll today, assembled primed and painted the applique armour panels for attaching later. If you're wondering, paint used is Xtracrylics Gulf War Sand. Thanks for looking.

Hi Dicky, yes mate, long overdue. Wandering round tables of armour subjects yesterday got me fired up to continue with this again. Xtracrylics is prethinned for AB so I got my old AB out for it as applying blocks of solid colour is about all its good for now. The Xtracrlylics goes on well but finishes a little shiny for me so I blasted over it with some Lifecolor flat clear.

Ya right for sure fella although not a great deal of Modern stuff around except of course yours! ;D Ok, last pic of the day, tracks now have their base colour as do the track pads, tomorrow I will start the dull task of bringing the two together.

You got it mate, its my standard method for painting many model bits. Strip of 50mm masking taped sticky side up (of course) to a small pice of wood.
