Nice work Mence all around, like Tony it's a bit of shame to see the camo pattern get covered up but what does show through is still cool.

Wow chaps, didn't expect this many positives, my sincere thanks to you all. It's a challenging kit but because you paint as you go such a lot, it kinda reminds me of my civilian builds which is probably why I'm enjoying it!. I am going to try to make progress on the final element, the weapons station over the weekend so will update soon. '67, MOM?.....when I'm building to the standard of you guys!

As always chaps, my humble thanks for your very kind comments. Ok. Turret received its basic paint and detailing inside. Heavens knows why I bother because its near impossible to see it anyway! Stuck it all together although it needed to be clamped because the fit isn't all that special Anyway, that sorted, I set about adding the final parts, ariel mounts (Aber AM ones), turret vision glass and other stuff. Once that was all sorted, popped the turret on which was a challenge as the opening needed the paint sanding off to allow the turret to fit. Right, rambling over, here it is. Thank you very much and good night!

Man this looks so good that I might have to do a modern thing. Funny, being a former Marine I never built a modern vehicle from the Corps. Keep up the great work Mence, very inspiring mate.

Mack, Rob, thanks fellas, it (for the most part) has been quite a fun build and quite a big vehicle when complete! I don't do dios but one of these cries out for a simple base so I will do one. Mack, ya right in what you say, the fit in a couple of areas isn't all it could be but that said, you still get a hell of a lot of kit for your money! My advice to anyone wanting to build one of the Hobby Boss AAVP series is to go for one with EAAK, that way if (like me) you couldn't get the upper and lower hull to go together that well, it can be hidden behind the additional armour Bit of detail painting next...

Coming along nicely Prof! Even if you can't see the turret details too well, you know it's there!

Hi Chaps.
As a rule, prof doesn't do bases so this will be a bit a little like an eclipse, very rare only nowhere near as spectacular! It will be a very simple affair, nothing Euro quality for sure, I have ordered some Jersey Barriers...

Hello chaps. Toned down the applique armour with a bit of staining etc. Light coats of buff laid on the lower areas to (roughly) simulate road grime collected while out on patrol. Detail painting continues altough hard to see from these pics I love these vehicles...
