Hello Fellas, After a few days away from the bench, im ready to start the ASU-85. I looks to be a nice kit and will be a fun build. One thing it could use is a metal barrel, but ill make do and we'll see how it all comes together. A build update soon.....hopefully.... Gary

What the heck is ASU-85?!?!? Had to google for an answer. LOL Like I told everybody I know little or nothing about Soviet armors. So much to learn about those post WWII stuff.
Your picture didn't show up by the way... try to post it again?

Gary, I too don’t know a thing about these vehicles but it sure is one of the coolest modern Russian vehicles produced to date IMHO. Looking forward to seeing your rendition. And don’t be shy with the weathering, go all out and get that running gear and lower hull full of wet and dried packed dirt, I mean big dirt as in MUD’OLA!!! Will you be adding any figures? ~ Eddy

What the heck have we got going on here? ? Well it's a SPG no doubt about it,that's one good thing. Must be one of those new fall out of the sky modern rigs but it does have that look you would expect from a mean machine. Come on, you can snip track links when you've got nothing else to do Gary, get on with it. Tony

GAry, this kit is made well. I just finished mine with only the tracks to be mounted the kit fits well and quite easy as they contain less parts than MBT. The details are fine and trumpeter did provided a good copy of the ASU-85. These come in two variants from trumpeter but i only see that their main difference is the hatches, with one containing a Dushka and the other doesnt. What do you think Dicky?

I knew you would approve Tony! Hey Dicky, your not highjackin' at all my friend and i appreciate the info on the ASU-85 im building. We all can use tha knowledge from ya Dicky. UNLESS.....you start tellin' stories of you and your best mates runnin' around FULL-MONTY after long night of guzzling pints.....you can keep that to your self..... ;D ;D Jest kiddin!!! BTW, your a bit partial to tha Trumpy...ay? ;D Thanks buddy! Iking, so far its a sweet fit on everything, no probs at all. I was wondering what the difference was from the other kit....just hatches? And whats a "Dushka"? Steve, thanks man! Im really liking this build and i cant wait to start playin' with paint! ER - Maybe i can talk you into gettin' this one when im done. ;D Gary
