The little details are what make the model Gary, and those scratch items look great.

WOW! Stunning work on the mud guards! From canned cat food? Jeez, I don't have cats... maybe I can try to feed those to my dogs.

Hey Carl, One of my favorite materials is the peel off lids from Whiskas cat food tubs. Its easy to cut, pliable, and strong. It has a little texture on it which comes in handy or you can smooth it out and it sands easy to take CA glue. I make all my straps and the like out of it. You got a cat? ;D Gary Thanks for the tip Gary . Unfortunitely yes there is a cat in this house , but i dont claim him ! He eats dry cat food though .

Hey Brother Andy, My dog LOVES the cat food!! Get one - there cheap and your dog gets a treat and you get modeling material...its a WIN-WIN! ;D Hey Carl, You should try it with saltine Crackers...its YUMMY!!! ;D ;D Jest kiddin! ;D ;D I actually feed it to my dog as the cat wont eat but 3-4 bites and turns away. I have 3 lids now so ill not need another can for a couple years! ;D ER...i probably looked at everything in this house once or twice and thought...how could this be utilized in my modeling... ;D T., Buddy, your not too late...your right on time man!!! ;D Makin' headway fellas! Once i get past the tracks and finnish fixin' the barrel it will be close to complete. Ive started scratching some headlight gaurds too. Im about to watch a movie classic "Abraham Lincoln Vampire hunter"....so im postin' then off to make popcorn. Apparently Mr. Lincoln was a BAD A$$ in his younger days... ;D ;D Anyhoo, Here be tha ASU! DSCF3122 by BBD468, on Flickr DSCF3121 by BBD468, on Flickr Thanks for looking my friends! Gary

Hello Gentlemen, Thanks for all the kind words and support fellas, its greatly appreciated. Tony - I made progress on the barrel once i decided to put the back-end of it in my cordless drill and use it as a lathe - started gettrin' good results then. Still need to clean up the muzzle break. Fellas, The movie was...um...ok I guess....shoulda kept modeling. ;D Thomas - No. 1 thing is the fact i love modeling! Its been a true blessing for me. I also have the spare time as i have some health issues and a damaged back. I basicly have a lower back of a 10 year old girl..... I model alot to cope with many issues past and present. Modeling....ITS A GOOD THANG!!!! ;D Thanks for stoppin' by you guys! Gary

The ASU is artillary then? I ask cause it sorta of looks like a tank destroyer. Also it was compared to tank destroyers above, ....I think. I was reading fast. Also in World of Tanks the SPG is considered artillery. Nice to see another WoT-ian It is/was a TD. "SPG" just means self propelled gun - pretty much any tracked armored vehicle that isn't classified as a tank. In WoT they just use the name for artillery pieces.

Hey Fellas, Thanks for the nice words! Noll - Tracks are kit indi tracks, but they cleaned up nice and No ejector marks. Instructions said 95 links per side and that was right on the money! Martyn - There is no mantlet cover in the kit and im not gonna scratch one. I actually like the look without it. Tony - Got the barrel sorted out...looks ok. Barrel will be attatched next i update.
