Nice work there Pete - this one is pencilled in fer 2013 and yer build has made me wanna crack it sooner rather than later Very nice Black Dog's Modern Canadian AFV/Tank Crew are very nice and would suit the Grizzly perfectly You won't be disappointed its a great kit, as for the figure the black dog items are way to late for the time-scale of my grizzly as it's a Bosnian deployed vehicle however I have come up with a solution, more of that soon. On to the painting and after a coat of tamiya fine surface primer I started with a little pre shading on the grizzly. For this I used tamiya XF69 NATO black drops of XF27 black green. I concentrated on getting this in all the nooks and cranny's as well as along panel lines etc. I then went over the model with some well thinned XF67 NATO green. Once happy with the effect I added progressive drops of XF15 flat flesh to the green and concentrated this colour in the centre of panels. Finally I added a few drops of XF57 buff to the mix and sprayed this in selected areas. As you can see there is a slight variation of tone and although it's way to light at the moment subsequent weathering will darken the colour. Pete

the pre-shading has produced a very nice effect. Well done.

Looking great! I must have missed last update. Wondering if Dicky has told you already how much he loves Trumpeter? I'd be shocked if he hasn't...
You have my attention again...

Thanks guys, today has seen me start my figure for the model and for this I have used as a base a figure from masterbox patrolling Vietnam war series No MB3599 plus a Hornet head from set no HQH01. The masterbox figures in this set are a good base for Canadian soldiers circa 1980's & 1990's, and the hornet head is just the job to depict a beret wearing solider. As you can see I have carved off the details on the torso ready for re sculpting. I also need to alter the cargo pockets on the trousers and the lower jacket pockets. I will use magic sculpt for this. A start has been made on some secondary elements to the dio and I used Dicky's method for rubbish bags, top stuff Dicky!
