Since the last instalment I have glazed the windscreen and doors DSC_1295 by TonyThunder, on Flickr Fitted the firewall and dash heater, seats, fire extinguisher. DSC_1299 by TonyThunder, on Flickr Fitted the exhaust and gave the underside a wash. DSC_1300 by TonyThunder, on Flickr Rear tools and side lights DSC_1296 by TonyThunder, on Flickr It was at this point I was told I had installed the wrong front grill (I had) DSC_1294 by TonyThunder, on Flickr So today new front grill was fitted DSC_1329 by TonyThunder, on Flickr Driver controls DSC_1334 by TonyThunder, on Flickr Vent will be fitted to the ends of the heater hoses once the windscreen is installed. At this point W/S, doors and wheels dry fitted only. As Ever ACW Tony

One of the things that Howard provides with this kit is the option to use either photo etched straps or straps made out of Solar tex fabric which has a good scale canvas effect in this scale. If using the Solartex fabric Etch buckles are provided and very cleverly (IMHO) they are attached to a "tag" so that handling and threading is pretty much a doddle. I wonder if it will catch on? In the first two pics it shows the buckle threaded once DSC_1335 by TonyThunder, on Flickr DSC_1336 by TonyThunder, on Flickr When I attached the tools I threaded the buckle twice so that a loop was formed which went round the tool. DSC_1338 by TonyThunder, on Flickr DSC_1340 by TonyThunder, on Flickr Once the strap is fitted you just cut the tag off. Tony

Very nice work on the details there Tony! Those straps are pretty nifty as well, they have the scale look just right and what's more they sound much easier to use and adjust as needed, can't beat that!

Wow Tony, worth the wait on this update for sure. Have to keep reminding myself how small it really is. Nice work on that canvas top cover as well.
