You're too close to the snow Andy, you know where every little flake fell (or didn't!) and it's skewing youre perception as a result. Just let the flakes go man...let 'em go! Seriously, very nice snow effects there. |

andy it looks great to me. either side. then again the last time i did snow it looked good for about two days and then looked like the dog ate the cats hairball.

Gary- Yellow snow? Have plenty of those in my back yard... three dogs at this moment as we are fostering one dog for a week. LOL Carl- HAHAHA! Glad I got you chained to this... but I don't have the key for the lock. Maybe your wife has it? Dicky- No kidding! The left side of your patch looks like someone brushed a crust of snow off something to get all the little spots.

Bob- Thanks... was hoping to work on it last night but once again my body crashed as soon as I got home from work. Mr Sniper- I think I will wear my winter coats and fur cap when I apply more snow... Kenny- HAHAHAHAHA!!! Sorry things have been very crazy for last 2-3 days at work and home. I even went to bed at 10:15pm last night. It was so unusual of me to go to bed normally I go at 1 or 2am! Because I slept so well last night I think I can stay up late to finish the base. Have no idea how long it is going to take me to cover the base with more snow. Really appreciate you tagging along! Carl- You got that right... I am working right now. I think I am Jack Frost tonight... Boo- Glad you liked it too... thanks! Hope Sean Connery likes it too? LOL Loving your work on the bust! Gary- Thanks brotha! Wanted to go for end of winter look with all of snow breaking up. Even my wife said 'WOW' when she first saw it. I guess it meant something... LOL Maybe she will even let me display it in the family room when it is done because she wouldn't even let me bring those out of the basement.

Rob- LOL! I couldn't stop thinking of y'all New Englanders when I was working on the base. Definitely will need more snow... send some over! Thanks boss!

Guys- I think the base is done... so far it is my favorite part of building now. I understand why you guys enjoy making bases too...   It really helps if you mix white (Elmer) glue with the snow flake first on paper plate... it will turn into a putty alike ball... I used sculpture tools to move snow around. It really helps if you make few drops of Woodland Scenic glue on the snow before you can work on it.  The hanging helmets have gone thru hairspray technique. I need to paint the metal part on the strap next...  Bucket is hanging now...  Hope I didn't miss something... LOL Thanks for looking!
