Just beautiful!!! Nice touch with the long scratch on the barrel... probably took down a tree just to have an apple to go with Cheetos snack.

Andy , i saw that scratch on the ref. pic. of 331 , above . Who knows how it got there . I saw a pic of one of these Jagd's with the barrel stuft into a building . Talk about getting the occupants attention . Marc , Gar , oils next . Dicky , dog paddlin Joe , good idea .

Very nice job of blending and prepping for the next stages Carl. Got to love all that 'canvas' that the JT provides from its sheer bulk!

Leon , if the model is painted with enamel based paints you'll have to seal them with a clear acrylic over spray . Otherwise the thinner used to thin the oil paints will react with the already painted on enamels and desolve and lift it off the surface . In other words make for a ferkin mess as Dicky might say .I let the coat of future set for a couple of days .I use the Future thinned with a liquid glass cleaner , like Windex at about 2/3rd Future ratio. Future is nice stuff to spray . Nice scent and if it runs it will still dry with with a even surface . I'll get into it more later , first its time for some chores around the house outside . Later .

carl this is why i havent tried it yet. i figure i will screw it up and not be able to repair it. been spending some time in the last few weeks on youtube looking at the technique. just havent built up the courage to try it.

Lui , good to have you along ! Dicky , LOL ! I'm thinkin the hole would have to be bigger for Gars rear to show thru ! Joe , If you put on a good base coat of Future the oils are easy to work with . I've let my oil weathering sit for a couple of days and then gone back and removed it with mineral spirits and reworked it.

Joe i use Future . IMO its easier to work the oils over the smooth surface that Future provides . On a flat coat surface the oils work into the roughness of the flat coat surface and the pigments get stuck in the rough texture of the flat coat and that makes it difficult to flow the oils along seams and over the surface .
