Hi guys, thought it was well past time that I posted some builds again. Been busy with life;). I built the gun for this back in early December and worked on the truck over Christmas break. The Tamiya Flakvierling fell together and the Wespe models resin Opel 4X4 flak platform was fairly simple to put together, with only minor hiccups along the way. It’s a basic but reasonably detailed kit and I’m looking forward to painting and weathering it:) Just gotta get some paint. The kits The inspiration (images for discussion only) The build More to come fellas! All comments welcome:)

quality was pretty good. Not too many parts, which I like, and not a horrible amount of clean up. Details are crisp throughout and The instructions were inadequate and troublesome and required too much thought to be certain things were in the right place. Overall, I'd buy another Wespe kit if I could get it cheap like I did this one:). Bought this one on ebay and it was missing decals:(

That looks cool, talk about improvisation, the gun assembly looks way too much for the truck!

Always up for a build like this Nate!! Bring on the color!! I remember building the Flak before and there was a fair amount of clean-up but still decent to mess with!!

Always liked the look of that gun. Easy when you're sitting here and not trying to fly past it.

Hey fellas. It's about time I posted again;). Here's a quick update. I was able to try out my eduard German cross masks tonight and I must say that I'm quite pleasantly surprised with them. They worked really well and were quite easy to use. I think they turned out pretty good as well. All comments welcome:)

Thanks for the kind comments fellas. Most appreciated:) Quick update: Thought I'd share some more pics of the panzergrau paint color after realizing that I hadn't posted any. Vallejo Acrylics:) I also worked on the wood color in the bed. It's a mix of tan/sand colored acrylics with an AK wash for DAK overtop. I plan on using the hairspray technique on this one and this will show through nicely and add some depth. Tonight, after a couple of layers of HS, I got the sand top coat on and it turned out a little yellower than I wanted but I'm gonna think on it a while and I may whiten it up tomorrow and recover/highlight it. The plan is a subtly war worn, field applied sand camo. I'm gonna go easy on the chipping and try to work some dusty magic with oils on top of that. I missed the front left wheel! all comments welcome, let me know what you think. Cheers
