Patience and a set amount of time crawling around on the floor are standard requirements when working with PE, didn't you see that in the tiny print on the Eduard packaging? No? Well there ought to be a law...just wait, the good folks in California will no doubt address it soon enough just like the little warning labels on lacquer-based paints that say they will cause cancer but only in the state of California. Very nice progress Carl, definitely worth the effort!

Hey guys thanks for stopping and taking a look ! Joe , this is the kind of "work" I really enjoy . Rob , blinged out indeed ! I almost blacked out a few times trying to get some of the "bling" attached correctly ! Gar thanks a ferkin lot bro ! Bill , aint that the truth about it being standard procedure to spend time crawling around on the basement floor ! Man there's a lot of crap on that floor ! How come I can find a microscopic piece of a nats eyelash but never what I'm looking for ? Funny thing what you said about Ca. I bought a tiller this spring and it had a warning label "not for sale in Ca." Tony , or should I say "JGT" John , nothing like some shiny metal to dress things up .Kinda like putting "spinner" hub caps on a '49 Hudson . My uncle did that when I was kid .

Good thing you seen it when you did Leon . Thanks for looking ! All of the bling is painted over now .... ....in Panzer gray . Maybe I'll leave it in gray . Nice contrast to the rest of the vehicle . I wonder what Bill would / will say about that idea ?

The grey paint on it looks lovely Carl, most modellers paint them Flaks in dark yellow, this is something different and it will make good contrast to the vehicle.

I agree Guy . I figured by the time the flak is dusted and dirtied it wont look so blatantly different from the rest of the vehicle but will add some contrast . Thanks for looking Guy . Will see what Bill thinks .

T, WW it !? That would definitely be a contrast and it was one of the options on the box side panel .Take it easy on those fumes , their addictive me thinks . Leon , Sounds good to me also . I'll pm Bill and he can fill me in on some facts about the idea .

Carl, Neat idea and definitely one that's plausible and will make this an eye-catcher. Sorry I didn't see your post here in the forums until now but glad we were able to exchange PMs. Yesterday was a 'fun' day working on fixing issues with the MHI email newsletter so I didn't get to do my usual rounds here in the Armor forums...consider it the IT equivalent to crawling around on the floor looking for PE!

Nems ,I sure appreciate you stopping by here and pitching in on the confirmation of the panzer gray idea. I had a couple of setbacks in the weathering process on 37 mm flak . Some of the base enamel panzer gray lifted while I was working with the artist oils wash . It wasn't sealed well enough with Future . Its all good now but I'm letting it set till tomorrow before I continue . I did manage to complete the weathering on the gun platform .

No we didn't... I really wanted to but my wife's father being 76 he didn't want to walk much in this heat at the same time my boys didn't want to spend one more minute being stuck inside the van we went shopping at outlet mall in St George instead. Next time!
Great weathering job on the platform! Happy Birthday my friend!
