Bummer with the little set back but sounds like you've got it under control Carl. The platform looks great with the weathering. I still have to get me one of these kits some day....maybe the next show.

Love the look of the gun platform and the perfect outline/shadow of the gun! You could almost create a 'replacement' scene where the gun is being prepped for install on the 'new' home with the way it looks. Top notch Carl!

Dang guys , I guess I'm doin ok then . Thanks a bunch for all of your great comments ! I've put a lot more time into the 37mm than ever figured it would require . I don't want to put the horse before the cart but I think you guys will like the results . Dan ,  Andy , so you drug the poor guy around a mall instead ?  T, Phil , that is strange . We must think alike .....but opposite !  Rob , anymore these minor setbacks turn into a learning experience ...........question is how many times must I learn the same lesson !  Guy , hopefully it will stay that way ! Andy , Leon , looks like I wont get it mounted today ..........soon though . Bill ,That's a great idea ! On this old model Tamiya made those three mounting points on the platform so that the 37 mm can be easily removed if required . Probably part of their "toy" thinking back in the early 80's . Always a possibility Bill .  |

Hey Lui , I was wondering where you got off to. Enjoying that beautiful Mediterranean weather ? Definitely not I had a short holiday in Belgium. I went to Bastogne too, I saw the Ardennes and a lot of historical places (I drove to Amsterdam and one of the signs I encountered was Arnhem). |

I just got the 37mm mounted and some more weathering on it and the platform to bring the two items into harmony .  Just a bit more pieces to attach . |
