I think everything that can be said to describe this as one of the finest builds some of us have ever seen has been said. Your artistic skills are outstanding and really set your work way way apart from the average. Unfortunately I some how got out of the loop and missed a big section of the middle where you have deleted the photo's which teaches me to be more careful when Bookmarking. Looking forward for your next build.

Thanks noname.
Bones, thank you too, I've checked my topic and put the missing pics back in place, I'm sorry if I made you get out of the loop buddy ! Pics weren't deleted but only moved and that seemed to be a problem too.

Thanks noname. Bones, thank you too, I've checked my topic and put the missing pics back in place, I'm sorry if I made you get out of the loop buddy ! Pics weren't deleted but only moved and that seemed to be a problem too. I have done the same thing awhile back not realizing that moving deleted them in the post. I appreciate their return though because your detail work is very educational to me, however I still don't see them, maybe you are int process of moving them back I will look later.

Oh yeah almost forgot to tell you that the paint slapping of the autumn leaves still continues. Tomorrow they'll be glued onto the base and also a fern plant will be painted too. Pics follow soon brothas !

Hi Ski, I'm still fine tuning the autumn leaves, things are going in the right direction I think. The Fredericus Rex leaves are perfect for such a base. I give them a medium brown paint layer to cover the green and then they're cut off. Once glued on, I do some finetuning of the autumn colors with a fine brush. More leaves will be added to the diorama : Then it's up to these fellas : Best regards ! AG.

The leaves are excelent, I have never dmae any of those little stands or dio's due to limited display space but I might just try one with those leaves. How do you glue them down?? Looks like one would have to spot some glue then set some leaves and repeat until it looked right.

Your base with the leaves look fantastic. But I would be too lazy gluing all these leaves by hand...

Those ferns look spot on Dicky, I'll be very satisfied if mine turn out to be half as good as yours. That pic shows a magnificent diorama by the way !!! Bones, these are paper leaves and they can be glued on with wood glue, thinned down with water. I use a sharp pointy brush to add a small amount of glue to the base and with a tooth pick I position one leaf, I glue them on one by one. And once warmed up glueing on goes straightforward. Not sure if you figure in the category of Lazy Modeller Matt - you can always slap loads of PVA on with a 5cm brush and then just sprinkle the leaves on....two minutes and yer back in the pub Dicky, I forgot to mention I ALWAYS glue on leaves IN the pub !

Is that how you did yours? Or is that the recommended method?

Ok AG, you've finally fallen off deep end buddy. All them little itsy bitsy teeny weeny little buggerin tiny brass leaves. And I thought I was anal retentive, Baahahahahaha. What a heck of a fine job Brother, looks really good and getting spooky real the more you ad to it.
Ruck On Baby! Cheers, Ski.
P.S. I spied some other rigs in the background, bike and car. I'd be interested in seeing pics of those too Bro, when ya get a chance. Looks like you've been busy.

I really enjoy the shot from above with the truck on the base. It looks like a real little FAT. The base is proper as well. Taking your time with this one has really paid off.

I missed this and want to thank you for the response, I kind of figured that it would work ny spotting the glue on and placing leaves until the pattern suits you. I have a syringe that I use PVA in when I need to spot some glue and I think it would work for this.
