T, recently a couple of my friends asked why I use AK enamels instead of oil paint washes. They think oils can do the job as well. AK products opened a new world for me, I can't do without them anymore. Slimy green is an awesome product in the AK range, it dries in another way then oils, more effective I believe. And enamels have a shorter drying time !
Leon, thanks mate !
Nate, today I glued the floor plate part onto the chassis. Next to do now is to finish them up 100%, then it's the body to be glued on and...diorama time !

It's nice to see enamels returning to the fold so-to-speak in terms of modelers using them. It's my preferred medium of choice (not that there's anything wrong with oils!) mostly for the quicker drying time and versatility/durability they offer. Very nice work/progress on this one. Got to love the lighting contrast in the photos too. Cameras are picky things!

WOW! Stunning... it reminds me exactly like the wheels abandoned on a property next to my dad-in-law's.... You can see green build up on right wheel.

Hey friends, thanks for your supportive replies ! Indeed Luigi, I want to show the FAT in a sea of ferns, with a couple of old trees... Hey Nate, it won't be a swamp but a piece of dark forest I try to create as a base. Andy, thanks for this cool reference pic, those wheels still have wooden spokes ! That must have been a very old car ! Body and chassis were connected and now I can check the whole model for imperfections. When this will be done, I start finishing up the wheels. Best regards ! AG.

The model assembled looks great as do the wheels! I love the wooded/forest concept for the base! Should be awesome and pose some fun challenges:)

My family decided to stay at home besides a walk with the dog, so I had plenty of time to move on to the final assembly of the FAT. It's on its feet now... Much more to come gentlemen ! Best regards ! AG.
