Hi guys, paint slapping started today, finally... I didn't use primer. The model parts were degreased very well with soapy water. To cover the plastic with a first, strong paint layer, I applied Tamiya gloss/semi gloss acrylics. Now the plastic won't shine thrue anymore after manipulating parts, something I don't like at all. Gloss paints are stronger. Later on these gloss layers will be covered with matt/satin acrylics. Stay tuned ! Best regards ! AG.

Leon, thank you ! Andy, maybe something for the future, a wet wreck project !? Thanks mate ! Luigi, thank you ! Possum, I'm glad you like them tires. The paint however will do the trick I hope. Nate, things go slowly now, today I've painted the...bathroom,a real mojo killer ! Boots, thanks ! Still a long way to go but I keep walking like Johnny Walker does ! Dicky, elite group...mmm...sounds cool, but I'm afraid I'm just an ordinary paint slapper from just around the corner. The bulges were made with Milliput, in two stages. One to form the edges and one to smoothen things up. I didn't use the technique you described but I've got to do it that way the next time ! Rob, thanks for the supportive words, after this stage it can all begin, I'll be a happy man once the glossy effects are covered. I did a bit more today... Best regards ! AG.

Thank you so much for the positive comments gentlemen ! Today I started paintslapping the seats, first a dark tone, then a lighter tone by adding a bit of white : More seat coloring later on ! The gloss brown needs to be covered now by airbrushing on the flat version of the brown paint : Best regards ! AG.

No worries about Dutch text... I will just drink Dutch beer so I can understand 'em better. Those seats look KILLER... just great! That's something I want to try to add some texture to seats for my future builds.

Andy, I recommend you to drink Belgian beer, we Belgians think Dutch beer tasts like ****
Leon, thanks !
Luigi, thanks !
Bill, thanks ! Painting/weathering is my favorite part of the game.
Thanks Nate ! Funny translation of the Dutch text ! 8/10 !
Andy, thanks ! Gary, thanks ! The texture almost paints itself, real fun to do in a later stage of the finishing job.
Wouter, I had great fun mate, you had to be there too, your last project would have been awarded gold for sure ! My BT-7 was awarded bronze in Masters category, and also the Hetzer was awarded bronze. The Hetzer was awarded Best Weathered AFV (MAKO Modellbau), the BT-7 was awarded Best 8-wheeled vehicle. So I'm very pleased as you can imagine. Next time you'll be present it's an order !
Rob, creating rusty stuff is the thing to do, I learn a lot of all the methods and they are very useful for other projects too !
