@dicky The fixer is good, but... (there's alwasy a "but") It's OK for heavy mud and use only 1 layer. The second one will darken the pigment. I painted 2 CDs (paint + future + matt vanish) to create a test-field for the pigments. Will try some combinations. I'm curious.

Update... good news I tried the Humbrol powders + Humbrol DecalFix... whoaaaaa cooooool It's possible to create a very light dust layer with an overdiluted mixture, and the best is... it's totally touchproof. No shiny edges and can be modified with a wet brush after drying. Lovely stuff! I also tried the DecalFix with MIG powders... can be applied easily, no color change, but not touchproof. You can see how humbrol stuff works, here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rmgx2IijrCk

The weathering and dirt on this one looks really realistic.

Glad to see this one get completed Mokush! Nice work dressing it up and I have to say that your work on the turret and having that one missile exposed really give this one a unique character.

I agree with Matt, Mokush, you have taken a pretty uninspiring kit and made a great set of improvements to it. Your finishing has made it into an impressive example of the SA9 - well done, nice work sir 'nuff said! P
