Rob I think I'll leave the rusty to you and the other talented ones on here ;D and stick with my nice and clean versions with a bit of weathering thrown in for character building...
Cheers, Thom

Alright, that's cool Tiger. Always good to have a lot of T-62's being built.

Hi Rob, I'm very interested to see what you have planned! This should be a great group build Ok so looking in the stash it's either a BRDM-3, BMP-3, BTR-70 or a BMD-2

Small update. Got all the turret done last night. took some time as I didn't want to break the grab handles. To clean the mold seems I used the backside of a #11 blade. If one had broken I would have replaced all of them with wire, luckily none broke. Also added some bling to the engine deck. I want to depict a used tank so damage was done to the screens with a blunt object. I also cleaned enough track links for one side. tedious but worth it. Still have to do the rest. OK onto the wheels. I had in the beginning started with the rims, cleaned them and glued the two rims together.....this is where I made a big mistake . The tyres won't go over the rims this way. I have to cut them apart, glue on the tyres, then glue the wheels together....lesson learned. One of the reasons I guess why I had done that was to depict a burnt out tank....force of habbit I think. So, the tyres have the right details, mold lines, but I want a desert tank that has been around for some time. This means that those seems would wear down. The plastic the tyres are molded in is very hard, unlike the styrene. I started to sand down the detail on some tyres, and added wear to them. Hope to get them all done today and maybe the rest of the tracks. I want to have the tracks glued up before adding more parts and fenders to the model.

I finally got the wheel thing fixed. As for the track links for these, it's not too bad really.

Spent a couple of hours yesterday cleaning and gluing the tracks for T-62. I will let them cure for another day or so before cont. with the hull parts. My fav shot of T55-62, the rear end.

Nice work mate, lovely trackwork. What appeals most to me about the T-55 is the shape of the turret, dunno why but it kinda looks cool!
Cheers

Got los of ref pics of T-55 - 61 a$$ ends. they cry to be weathered, and they show the tracks well in these shots. I use these ref pics when mounting tracks to get the right direction.

I've decided to put off the T-90 until my skill level can do it justice so instead my input of this Gb will be: pehaps with a 'touch' ;D of weathering... Hopefuly sometihng to show by next weekend P note to self: Alcohol and 'puter (+ losey reffing decissions- not bitter) = atrocious `splin mishtayks
