Hey folks!! Again, i have another entry for the Big Spring Contest over on SMA. I have 3 months to build it!! Mind you this is one of two kits....so far Rule nothing out at this point! So let me start things off with a peek inside the box!! The Kit: The instructions are very pleasing Some sprue Lovely details from what I can tell Only issue I seen so far is the pin marks on the inside of the fuselage The Wengs! Two options on the guns...kit molded cooling jacket or the PE jacket! (a def on the PE) Kit supplied resin upgrades Some bling The PE cooling jackets The Decs Oh, what was that? LOL...the kit supplies a nice resin mold of Voss...pilot! For the contest, not being used to keep this in the Air Category. There you have it! Time to get busy on building some things!!! Thanks for tuning in!!!

Thanks Gary!! Appreciate you hanging out on this!! Too busy to mess around this year!! Too many project in the shop to slow down now!!
Thanks Leon!!! Thanks for coming along on this one!!
Thanks Luigi!! LOL... Rigging seems to be the biggest issue with these things ey? Cross one bridge before the other...stay tuned!!
Thanks Steve! No AM on the rigging on this! The cross sections on the PE sheet are the ribbing details inside the cockpit. I might have something for the rigging somewhere in this mess here!! LOL!!
Thank you BJ!! All about having some fun buddy!!!
Thanks Sam!! Hope you can say that when I am done though!! LOL!!!!
Thanks Joe for the compliment and thanks for the curious!! Glad to have you on board!!
Thank Andy!! Some thing can be contentious ya know? LOL!! Tell you what...watch me screw this up, you come in with one and do one better!! LOL!! I can almost hear Mr. Spaulding mumbling ..."daft bastard...he got a better chance of growing snowballs in hell than finishing a weng-theng" LOL!!!!!

If you want to make rigging easier, go and get some Bob's buckles...

Great stuff there Luigi, thanks for the suggestion! Was using a similar method once to that point with the tube and eyelet. Had some devised for my U-69 (no, not finished... ) 1/2 mm tubing is hard to come by...found some locally. Odd, this plane has very little external cables but I will probably kick myself a couple time on the interior control cables if any!!

Thanks Bill!! Glad to have you along for the ride!! Time for a little update!! I had some time since the contest started and attacked #1 on the instructions...the engine. Some parts ready for the AB! I had some time early this morning and was able to get the engine into shape. Went together OK I guess. Shame that most of this is hidden under the cowl but worth the effort. I still have some ignition wires to attach to the spark plugs off the top right of each cylinder. Back to the work week I suppose!! Would like to spend a couple more days messing around with this one!! All for now!! Thanks for tuning in!!!

hey T....some nice work going into this wengy thangy mate!! The sprue shots say 'Roden' on them,is this a re pop, with extras, from Squadron?...Also,as a quick aside, the Brits had the first tri deck I believe, from Sopwith...but I'm willing to stand corrected on that!!!
