Hi fellas, So, the club guys and I have a table at my favourite annual show next weekend. There's always some great bargains to be had there but I didn't think I'd ever find myself in this position - I cannot for the life of me decide on a kit to buy! With the Dragon Elefant now finished and the Tamiya Willys MB Jeep on the bench I checked my stash and found: 1) Bronco's Comet 2) Dragon's Panther G Late 3) Dragon's Flakpanzer I with Ammo Trailer (Premium Edition - lovely looking kit) 4) Dragon's Panzer IV Ausf. G LAH (Kharkov) The Comet is for a planned future project or an Allied Armour GB that is bound to pop up. The Flakpanzer is one crazy looking kit and won't exactly be a quick build so I'll wait until I'm up for a challenge before I start that one, the Panther will be my main build this year to be built during the summer and the Panzer IV is something I'm looking at starting very soon - my first 'proper' whitewash build. I've also got Tamiya's Marder III (not the M) on order as I built that a long time ago and really want another crack at it now that I have some improved skills to deploy! I'm hoping to pick up one of the newish Dragon or Bronco Jeeps at the show - they should be cheap enough BUT I fancy something different. I like the look of the Dragon Sturer Emil and Dicker Max plus being a big StuG fan the new Dragon Zimmed StuG (6633?) could be a choice. Also the Nashorn from Dragon looks good.
Any recommendations guys - you know what I usually like to build: German WWII, ugly and mean with a big gun! What's new and good? Ben

The list of nice builds i.e the Panther G, the Pz. IV, the Flakpanzer and Comet are what are ALREADY in my stash!!!!!!!!!! LOL! It's where I mention the Nashorn/Hummel.etc. that I wanted some advice! Andy - I have a missus mate but she's at University hence the heavy wallet! Come on - suggestions! Ben

Why don't you try something green, ugly and russian? Like the new SU-152 from Bronco?

Wish I was in your situation - mine's the exact opposite at the minute. Flat broke but have lots of new kits. Back to the point of the thread, have you built any of the E-series yet (you probably have, no harm in checking though )? I've seen some around, especially the tamiya E-75 Flackpanzer, which looks cool!

I've seen some around, especially the tamiya E-75 Flackpanzer, which looks cool! Funny you mention the Flakpanzer - I've just been eyeing up Dragon's recently released Ostwind - looks tidy! I've also been looking at the blog that is being run on here for the Dragorn Nashorn - Wow! For the record - here's the stash including my wip JeepSory about the crappy photo. These will keep me going for a good while but there's a kit out there with my name on it. It will be at this show and I want it! Shame I don't know what it is. Tbh I'll probably go with the Nashorn. The Flakpanzer, for such a tiny kit, is amazingly well detailed! The 20mm gun is a model in itself. The Panther and Panzer IV are beautiful kits and the Comet is something I've been meaning to build for about two years! There's also Tamiya's Early Marder III that I have on order. I don't have room for a huge stash so have to take the opportunity of grabbing bargains - I reckon the Nashorn? It's got a big gun!Ben

LMAO!!!! Sorry for the misunderstanding Ben...happens alot now days. Ive never built either the Nashorn or Hummel. Sure i will someday...would like to anyways. Would love to see a Nashorn built by you, but i reckon you cant go wrong with that StuG either. Ill say 50/50 i like both ideas! Gary

Well Ben, why don't you go into the Hobby Intel system and go browsing through the manufacturer catalogs? There's a LOT out there depending on what you're looking for...Nashorns are always a fun project though, can't argue with that!

Gary - I might well just do that! The Nashorn being built on this section looks amazing and that StuG was sold the minute I first saw it! Cheers fellas, Best get started on the rest of this Jeep - it's turning into a nice little project. Ben
