Looking great Tobias, I found this out the hard way too on the Elefant I just built as I used an RB barrel on that - the brass collar on the base of the RB Barrel needs to sit INSIDE the rounded tip of the mantlet. I simply used a razor saw to cut along the seam line to remove the round tip. You need to push the muzzle brake through the round tip you've just chopped off and it fits inside the round tip. I glued it with CA and packed it with putty to hold it very firm. The square bit that pushes over the mantlet will hide any cutting marks and seam lines. Have a Google about if unsure as it's well talked about. Hope this helps - this is looking like a great build. Ben

The not so fun part eh Tobias, but she does look mean with the tracks on. I may just have to get me one of these kits again soon.

hey Tobias, are you going to paint the tracks on the tank or can they be removed? ive always had trouble with this in my builds so im kinda curious about how you will handle it.

hey Tobias, are you going to paint the tracks on the tank or can they be removed? ive always had trouble with this in my builds so im kinda curious about how you will handle it. A valid question, I've tried both methods - I built a SiG 33 for a Group Build and assembled it with Magics in place. It wasn't easy painting the tracks in place so I decided to airbrush the lower hull in dark shades and add highlights in the right places - it turned out okay(ish)but it's definately better if you are able to paint the tracks off the vehicle. That said it was my first attempt so it wasn't probably going to look like an excellent job! The Pz.IV I'm working on now had the Magic Tracks assembled in place then removed after 24 hours - just take care not to stick them on too soon so they stick to the wheels! Looking forward to more, Tobias! Ben

The tracks are glued on. Normaly I build the tracks and remove it before painting. But I´ll make the tracks very dirty, so I glued them on.
