Rob , sounds like you like your sauerkraut boss! My grandma used to make up her own sauerkraut . She went thru the depression with 9 children so she knew how to cook .........in mass ! She canned everything and would bake pies by the dozens .......at one setting . All of the recipes were in her mind and she measured the quantities by the "pinch" or "handful" . Maybe a scoop if she got fancy . I worked with her in her restaurant during summers when I was in school ....dish washer and buss boy . There was one cute waitress though .
Tobi ,I've been to local Oktoberfest here abouts in Washington state . Less expensive than a trip to Germany . One town puts on a pretty good fest but I imagine its not like the real thing in Germany .

Hey guys!!! I am back! So much to catch up here... Mackinac Island, Michigan was AWESOME!  Where was my duck? Easy... it was with his best friend  Was told it was built in 1952... just right after WWII. Of course it had wrong color! Best part was seeing it running...  No wife and no boys this weekend... they are gone camping for Boys Scout. Work has been crazy since my return so I am hoping for bench time tomorrow after work. |
