wow mate, missed a lot of cool stuff! As I said on FB, that water looks very cool! The streaking and pigment application sure help to get the DUKW even to another level. You are getting better and better sir(well, except outfitwise...80's stuff is waaaay too wrong ) Cheers

Quacky quack quacky quacky ............ Andy , the last session with the pigments really gave the ole beast a weathered look . Like the idea of the water in the tires . Those fenders look so much bettter than the kit jobs . Just one thing my friend . Those three raised circles on each side of the hull (just above the first raised rib )are red reflectors . This thing was so long it needed something to warn vehicles approaching from the side . I stand corrected on the p-o-t-a-t-o-e-s .

Guys- Sorry for not replying sooner... there was no internet at the office ALL DAY! WOW, I hated every moment of it... did read your comments and I didn't want to reply using my iPhone with my fat short fingers. Jeff- LMAO! You just made me firkin' hungry and I am NOT ferkin' kidding! Thanks my friend! Guy- Believe me I would love to visit you! We can work something out... my duck for one of your WWII relics. LOL I think last one was lots of salt streaks? Thanks guy! Phil- Thank man! Glad you liked... I am starting to enjoy weathering more than anything now. AK/MIG products make it so easy now. Gary- Damn glad you are back! It was little quiet here... NOT because I am deaf! Glad things are OK now. Marry my girl? I am afraid my duck is crazy about bikers like you! LOL Thanks brother! Bill- THANK YOU! Only food, guns & boobs can distract me... Pete- Thanks for the super comment... cheers! Wouter- Where have you been?!?! I cried every night but I am so happy you are back! LOL Remind me to send you pictures of me in that 80's outfit often... LOL Thanks my Duvel drinking buddy! Carl- Quack, quack quack! Thanks for the great feedback regarding three circles. Had no idea what there were... I should have checked my book and Bone's CD one more time. Thanks again! Marcel- Appreciate your nice words... love 'em GIs too. Will not hesitate to buy more sets from Bodi (Body) Dicky- Yeah I suspect Gary will divorce it as soon as I finish my next build especially if its a German DAK. Will take care of those reflectors... that's why I love it here at MSC. Thanks mate... you helped me find my mojo! Owe you couple of beer I have to say... Try to remember my duck is a she so I would accept marriage dowry very gratefully.

GuysWouter- Where have you been?!?! I cried every night but I am so happy you are back! LOL Remind me to send you pictures of me in that 80's outfit often... LOL Thanks my Duvel drinking buddy! yeah I know, I've been less around than I wanted...losing pieces of the Stryker wasn't good for my motivation, both build and forumwise (which I growing waaay too big for me I must admit) Don't be frightened though, I will still be around to haunt you here and on FB LOL, about that outfit, sure why not . Coming to think of that look: if you looked like that in the 80's you were cool, if you look like that these days they call you a sissy Cheers

Wouter- LOL! I know what you mean about the forum. It helps to bookmark so I can keep track of specific builds. One more picture just for you my friend! Sorry I had to! LOL Jeff the Panther- Glad I can be an influence somewhat. It was fun and easy build... I think it was the stowage that killed my mojo twice. Next time I will go easy on stowage and put in an artillery piece or even a jeep to keep my mojo going. Thanks for the nice comment! Guys- Nothing exciting to post... painted the reflectors last night. Final touch up. Added one more item... copy of Time magazine shared by a member here. Re-worked on the base so all six wheels are standing on the ground firmly. Should be able to finish the whole thing tonight as I only need to attach the ladies and their accessories to the base.

Sabre- I painted two on the rear too last night. I read the instructions carefully and I see I missed that part painting all 8 in red. LOL Oops! My duck didn't come with a part for front reflectors as shown in the last picture. I find it very interesting... thank you so much for sharing!
Man, now I really want to ride in one. Gonna google to find out where closet operating ducks are!

Am I the only one who finds the AnDee pics disturbing? What kind of paper did you use to print the Life magazine?

Sorry Panzer you replied too quick, I actually when looking myself and I believe they are indicators that have been added later so I deleted that reply. So I better post those photos again so people know what the hell we are talking about. I was pointing out to Panzer the reflectors on the back and what looked like one's near the front lights but after looking at other photos I believe they are indicators that have been added later to comply with road safety. Sorry about that.

Final update- After burning plenty of midnight oil for two weeks before the show, I managed to finish the duck in time for the show with enough time to work on other older builds. Had great times at the show yesterday!!! I felt like I was playing with Barbie's accessories... Used AK Wet Effect on old tires where water is trapped inside. Final look... will take better pictures with my friend's camera later this week. Was happy to bring home 1st place in Diorama category... Couldn't have done with your encouragements after I lost mojo twice while working on this. Not bad... it only took me 50 weeks to finish it. LOL Be on look out for better pictures later. Thank you my friends!

Well hot diggity Andy! You did finish it and did you finish it well. I would have to agree about the water in the tire, THAT is a very nice touch…especially the green "algae" tint. Well done my friend. What's next? Dave
