Been doing a bit. Quick phone shots at the club meeting yesterday. I spent most of my time futzing with the "rope" that ties across the back of the trailer.

Outstanding work. Love the camo and faded white wash. Got the same thing planned for a PZIV.

Rooted around in the stash, turns out I DO have a second 251/21 kit so I can hork that gun mount for a similar type build. Sweet!
Really like the look of your whitewash...that's it? Just hairspray and Tamiya acrylic white?

Love the build. Those shell casings scattered in the back, plus all the other little details really bring it to life!

Very very nice indeed. You could tell this was going to be great by the first unpainted picture.Love it .Inspiring work. Thanks Andy. You had more faith than I did. I didn't know what was going to happen. I actually found the ref photo after the project had made it to the point of no return so it was a relief to find it. Rob - Thanks. Shouldn't you finish a few green things first? Dupes - Go for it. There are a lot of little small parts so take care and check references first. The AFV instructions were a little vague on a few of the key detail items. Study hard and leave the barrels off until last. The white wash is a lot of things. First a faint layer of Tamiya with a touch of grey was AB over the HS. This was chipped and followed by airbrushing a couple passes of a light warm grey filter. I then went in with white oil paints to add some tonal variations in the white. At this time I used some very light grey Vallejo acrylic to add small faint vertical streaks. After dark washes and adding the darker chipping elements, I went back with Vallejo white to add the final brighter white bits. Basically I followed Mike's steps on his Behuetiful Panther in Tank Art Vol 1. bbrowniii - thanks. the shell casings are a last min addition. The glue might not have even be dry when I took the photo. I honestly don't know if the shell casings would really be there. The chutes funnel the spent shells into the base but where do they go and how they get cleaned out, nobody seems to know. They're a nice detail and I imagine at a high rate of fire a few would escape and scatter about. bullardino - thanks man. glad you like it. BTW Dupes, there is a photo of a field mod that sports a drilling mounted on the back of a Krupp 6x6, so they seem like a good weapon for light vehicles.

Rise! RISE my long dead post. Working on the muddy road. Had a lot of trouble with the mud cracking until I finally got the formula right. stoopid blue tape. I found a nice Warriors standing figure in great coat that I'll start on next. No project is ever finished, I just stop working on it.

Nice to see this one come back around in the rotation! Nice mud effects, I can see how it would be tricky to get it just right...but you've nailed it!
