Many thanks. This was the "third's a charm" attempt at the mud. The first two were a terrible mess with huge cracks more suitable for a dried lake bed than a muddy road.

Looking great! How did you do the mud? The mud is a mix of Extra Thick Matte Acrylic Gel mixed with fine dirt, sand, and pigments. It was spread over the base and the ruts were created with a spare wheel. I then sculpted a few footprints and more ruts while it was still setting up. Puddles are Acrylic Gloss Pouring Medium mixed with a little brown paint. Many layers were built up over the course of a few days.

Thanks all. I need to fix a typo on the license plate. It should be SS based on the figure. WTF do I know. Unfortunately, there is no kit decal so I'm going to have to build one up from one of the Dragon 251 decal sheets with individual numbers and split SS markings.

I don't know how I missed this build but I'm sure glad you entered it into M.o.M. otherwise I might never of seen it.
The composition of this piece is spot on from the muddy tracks right up to your weathering job which is up there with the best I've seen.
Maschinenkrueger you said on page 1 that this was your first attempt at wood grain. Well I wouldn't of guess that not in a million years if you hadn't of said anything, to me it looks like you are an old hand at doing railway carts. You nailed that effect on your first try my friend which makes this build all the more impressive.
Had I seen this build from beginning I might of suggested figures from either Verlinden German Recon. Group #995 or #2358 Russian Winter WWII (Back Left Figure) but seeing it now I wouldn't change a thing.
Congratulation on a job well done it truly is a masterpiece of modelling and best of luck in the Model of the Month Comp.
