Glad the pony got a girlfriend too... glad to see you settled and back on your bench. Believe me I missed your posts especially my lady the Queen... has she been calling my names lately? Remind her that I am deaf so I can not hear her calling my names... OK?

I like the idea of a piebald/skewbald combination...if they were going to be a matched pair, they would be matched in terms of both being whites, greys, or chestnuts, etc. Matching piebald/skewbalds is pretty hard to do under most circumstances! Good to see the Queen project is back in gear!

Mac first of all i collected loads of wood chippings, then i soaked them for 3 days, i then compressed them to form a board, finally i cut out the shape and laminated it..............................OK i bought a sheet of MDF, cut to shape and then laminated it and added legs and edging strip.........simples

Ok, I'll bite and ask the obvious question...why would someone bring grapes to a grievously injured comrade in the hospital?

The only reason for grapes must be down to hospital food being universally bad no matter which side of the pond you're on.

Hi all. started on the detailing on the horse. the whole thing has had 4 base coats of white, i then began the shading on the neck gradually adding black to the white to get darker shades, really it end up mostly grey with white as the very top highlights. Then started on the black splodges, i did the first coat in flat black but when it had dried it looked too.................black. So i added a touch of blue to the black and used that as a base coat, i then used flat black for the shadows and various greys for the highlights I always think black is a harsh colour, even though its not a colour, and with the blue added it softened it a bit. still a few further highlights to be added to the splodges. Paul

Nice start on the pattern Paul! You're right about 'black' especially when it comes to horses due to the light variations between their skin and coat. The compromise you've come up with looks very convincing IMHO.

Many thanks Andy Bill on some of the pictures ive seen the blacks are almost a steel blue, but very difficult to acheive that with paint Thanks Dennis next update coming soon Cheers Ski, sounds very Russian jackwagon what can i say matey, coming from someone who takes bits of flat plastic and turns them into amazing vehicles, your words are a great compliment and very much appreciated Boots always great to hear from you and thanks bud OK pushing the shading a bit more, ive done one side of the face apart from the nose and mouth and started on the right fore leg. i added some white splodges to the black and also highlighted the creases in the neck, these probably wont be seen because of the mane. more work to do on the legs and the underbelly more to follow guys and thanks for looking in
