PE is from the devil! Well, actually maybe not, but it can be a pain. Persevere!

Good Evening, Disaster! - carpet monster 1, me............. Lost the back of one of the lights. Turned place inside out and every which way and still could not find. So in desperation made my own. Not perfik Rodders, but will have to do. As my mother used to say " A blind man would be pleased to see it" So what do you think? Might fade away under a coat of paint me thinks. More soon. Tim

Thanks Cap'n, and apologies - don't know what came over me there? As you say should not be so noticeable under paint. I was not going to beaten that easily Have invested in a smart white sheet to replace carpet, but suspect even it will consume parts like a starving mongrel! As an aside, are you and CB at Duxford on Sunday? If so will try and track you down. Tim

Awesome, Tim As Dicky said, you're building armor and scratching parts? You got captured by the dark side, don't you?

Good evening, Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. Now for the hard part. Brushes I can cope with, but these airbrushes, I ain't so sure about! If I can get a decent coat on then maybe, just maybe, I can progress things as I would like. Wouldn't like to spoil it all having invested so much time and effort in putting it together. But all part of the learning curve I guess so will not be rushing. More soon, from the paint shop hopefully! Tim

Good evening, Thank you very much for the encouraging comments. As you say looks great in the grey primer and certainly pops the detail no end. So, might just leave it as is and ............... No you won't let me get off that lightly I am sure. DF, Thanks for the heads up on LC OD set, will be placing my order ASAP. More excitement I can not stand More on this as soon as I can. Tim

Good evening, Paint has arrived for this one (and the Valentine) so time to crack open the air brush and hope that I can do it justice. I have used one of the old Humbrol air brushes with canned air before, but not the real deal. If it goes Pete Tong I am sure it wont be as easy to scrub and restart on one of these as it is with a figure, so fingers crossed Tim

Good evening, Well, I gave it a go but made a complete and utter horlicks of the thing. Turret appears not to bad but has faults, as for the rest! Let's just say that I found another use for the airbrush. Sprayed the lot in airbrush cleaner then used large quantities of water to jet wash as much off as possible in the hope that I can start again. Not sure if it is me or the airbrush (cheap clone) but will have to experiment some more before I undertake another painting session......... unless I get a hairbrush out Latter's Tim
