Hi guys, before brushing on more streaks, dust and dirt I want to fix the (almost) finished tools to the tank as they add color to it. I still have to finish the axe, shovel and stuff but the jacks are on. Best regards ! AG

What would modelling be without my buddies Thanks guys, as usual before typing another update... Today I added dust to the model, especially the flanks, front and rear. However, I started with another pinwash to make the rivets and bolts pop out more. Back to the dust part...first I sprayed on a mist of heavily diluted acrylic paint Buff + Flat Earth. This gives an indication of the dust on the model. More important is the surface gets less glossy, so pigments added onto it will adhere better ! I then applied dry dust pigments using a soft brush over the flank panels. With a very sharp brush dipped in white spirit I brushed vertically until the white spirit was gone. Subtle rain stripes were the result. So much more to do, but that's for next time. Best regards ! AG Have a nice weekend mateys !!!

That paint job calls for a well deserved weekend with lots of cold beer unless you are one of those warm beer guys. Nice finish that really sets the Bis off.

A BOLO has been issued for Mr. Ed Zachary, description included shaved hands, pink tutu (conspicuous with spatters of panzer gray). Last seen laughing hysterically and muttering about "styrene" and "modulation" while waving a #11 Xacto knife at his neighbors. Considered to be a danger to himself and others, approach with caution!

Sounds like he would be real easy to spot but one would have to approach with caution because those ole #11's can be real dangerous in the hands of a crazy model builder who forgot to turn on the exhaust on his paint booth.

Guy, I’m liking this method of yours for ageing the paint and adding dust. Where the jacks left without any protective paint to keep them from rusting on the real vehicles?

Eddy, these jacks were painted German Grey, washed with AK Track Rust wash and completed with (dabbed in) rust pigments. Excess pigments were removed by soft brushing. I'm glad you like it ! Andy, thanks mate ! Chris, thanks bud ! Stevem, thanks, it was a long time ago I had to weather a green model, I think it's moreless working out, I'm satisfied until this point. bj, thanks my friend. Carl, thanks my friend. This however is the puppy I have to take care of the coming days ! Hint : Sam...Sam and Dean Winchester ? No bell ringing ? Supernatural ? Three teenage daughters in the house...yeah that explains it all ! Let's hope he won't become a demon hunter ! Bob's not making friends yet but it'll be a matter of time. The family is 15 cm bigger now ! Best regards ! AG.
