Yeah, that camouflage was looking totally together, I feel your pain! Happened to me on a wingy project with a spray can and then again when the rubber band let go that was holding my airbrush on the stand, paint went flying exclusively onto my first Tamiya armor kit. Wow, looks like Bob is sporting a slight camouflage pattern of his own. That little pup looks no bigger than either of my two fully grown 4lbs., Chihuahua’s, Tiger and Goldy. Good pick (the puppy) and good luck with his new buddy!

T, man I can't wait to pick up our little puppy, my dog means the world to me. I'll post pics as soon as our little Sam hits home. I'm glad I have the experience of spraying on this camo schem, now I'm already familiar with it for the next Char I'm about to start building ! Gary, thanks mate ! But I know one thing : in my eyes YOU are the washing specialist looking at your models MAN o MAN ! Eddy,it's not a pup our dog, he's 7 years old now. It's just kinda hobbit dog, they're called Kaninchen Daschund (Rabbit Teckel) because they're no bigger than a rabbit. I'm afraid we modellers all have our own horror stories concerning paint catastrophies sooner or later. Thank you Dan, I don't know if there were whitewashed Chars under Russian command, I know there were German Beute Chars in Grey and camouflaged with a whitewash. Andy, me hitting home runs after weathering You are such a kind bloke !!! Phil, LOL, that's completely me, I can live with it my friend. However I hope it won't happen again. Currently I am fading the Char panel by panel, using Emerald green, Yellow ocre, White and a tiny bit of Raw umber. The model is ideal to unleash weathering hell on it !

oh my, great stuff Guy, and nice recovery of the Char B! Love your coloring, as usual. And quite original to see some stars on it!
Cheers

Thanks for the response mates !
Bones, this Char was first captured by the Germans in '40 during Fall Gelb, and in '44 it was recaptured by the Allied Forces after D-DAy. I don't have more info besides that.

That's why I like this forum sooooo much, such a bunch of fantastic people jumping by every single update !!! Hey Bones, not all the captured Chars were equipped with the extra armor above the 75mm gun. Some of the Chars kept their round commanders cupola too. Sometimes the antenna was replaced and sometimes not...reference photos are quite important if a modeller wants to go for an accurate model (especially if it's nicknamed like this one Vercors, Flandres,Bourrasque...). I don't know of concrete blocks on the Char type my good friend Bones. Luigi,I like it too, it's only rarely seen this green version with the stars. Andy, thanks mate ! Did a bit more today. Rubber skirts were painted (Mat Black + Buff) and oil paint washed (Raw Umber), the two BIG wheels were given a polished metal look. Best regards ! AG.

Hi Guy ! The thing about the camo you had before is that it was really well done but it is a common sight to see these vehicles painted that way . Doing yours in the green with USA markings is more interesting imo .
Cute dog for sure . Hi Bob.

Nice handling of the paint modulation Guy, the contrast between each of the panels is subtle yet strong enough to show through the fading process. I’m really liking this build a lot and enjoying each update. Thanks for taking the time to post each of the individual progressive painting steps in detail as you apply them on your build.

Thanks for the replies buddies ! Today I started adding some streakings on the vertical panels and the front/rear of the tank. I apply AK enamels for these effects. Much more streakings coming up, this has to dry first... Best regards ! AG.
