Bruce, much appreciated my friend. This has been a long haul, but worth the effort. Dicky, well I guess I know what I'll be doing in the morning, painting my tools. There's a lead in if I ever heard one. Go easy now

Jeff, one thing about these braillies, they don't take much ferkin paint,do they? .....Nice neat work there mate,ESPCIALLY at this scale.... You've used more on this little fella, than I have all year! CB, that's why I do em. You can by 3-4 Braille kits for the price of a 1/35th. They take up less space, use less materials and are just plain fun to build. Just for general information I did the whole hull and everything else with about 20 drops of paint. Dicky, I'm tellin ya Braille rules,Bro, it will test your scratching skills for sure

Mornin' Fellow builders. Glad to see all of you checking in. So here's the deal. There where only two of these made. I REALLY want to do some type of camo on it, because it IS pretty plain, even with the tools painted. The problem is, history says that it never was. I've got this going in a Group build on another site and I'm afraid if I put the camo to Her it won't go over well with some of the other builders. I'm thinkin' the He%& with it, do it anyway, and let the chips fall where they may. Whadda Ya think?

OK first...sweet work on the tools and shackles!!! Coming together nicely now!! Second...if you like camo...GO FOR IT! LOL!! Might have to look back a bit or shoot Bill a PM about what he used on his Neubau-Fahrzeug : modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/thread/3564/dml-neubau-fahrzeug-nr-3 This was fantastic! Last...who give a rat's A$$ about what was...it's your kit brotha!! LOL!! I know you remember the MSC Mantra...."what you like"!! Nothing wrong with a half What-if at all!! Your call...but have some fun either way!!

I just finished catching up and I'm speecless. I know lots of 1/35 tanks which have less details than this braille one... Jeff you're doing an outstanding job.

Sorry about the lack of progress Fellows, I have been very busy with doing Summer stuff with really no time to build. I have been researching camo and looking at Elefants and Nashhorns cause they have kinda the same hull shape. Will update soon, I promise

I think the possible camo looked more like the grey panzer III and IV with sand yellow over spray like this one

Eddy, I like that. It's going to be interesting trying to figure out what will look good and still be somewhat plausible at the same time.

I've seen a model built of the Emil with Camo (can't remember in which mag it appeared) and it looked good! So if you want to go for it I'd say. Quite hard to see on photos if they used camo or not btw, some colors have the same grey tones and can't almost be seen on photos (same goes for African Tiger I's)
the color on the panzer grey if I recall it correctly ain't a sand yellow color but more a semi light brown color.
Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to see you tackle it, it looks VERY cool already so far!
Cheers

Wauter, you are right for the period 1939-1940, but in 1942-1943 depending on the region, Some regiments or divisions used yellow to camouflage their Grey vehicles

All right, it's time to gain some bench space. Load floor glued in place Barbette stuck on,with a better view of the tools and you can see some of the track color also. I need to do something with the fire extinguisher, it doesn't look right With the new pieces in place,it brings a few problems to light. Namely, the gap between the upper/lower hull under the hatch, the" doesn't go anywhere" exhaust pipe, and the big hole in the" I don't know what it holds" rack I did manage to get the exhaust drilled out and you can see I've started filling in the hole in the bottem of the rack Before..... And after Looks like I need to take care of some mold seams too Model on, Jeff

Tank the box on the rear right is the smoke candle holder. The exhaust from the engine goes up under the fender extension, just add a short section of sprue.
Take care Tony lee

Bruce, many thanks sir. Tony, I was kinda thinking flares or something like that, hadn't thought about smoke candles. Any idea as to what color they should be? As far as the exhaust issue, great minds think alike and its well on its way to being taken care of
