Candle color? I have no idea man, maybe I should sleep at a Holiday Inn Tony lee That's alright Man, the color of the candles is not that important I guess. I need to be sure I get the right scent though. I know, I'll ask my wife

Got to love the way the details are coming together on this one, even if you don't stay at a Holiday Inn in the process. Smoke candles were usually either field gray (greenish-gray color) or just ordinary panzer gray, no special colors were used for them. As for the FE, red FEs were not a common sight except for internally stowed or not externally visible ones. Typical FEs for open-top vehicles or those mounted on fenders matched the hull color (Pz gray or DY depending).

Bill.... Thanks for the info. You can see I did the int FE red. I was going to put some straps on it but its so far down inside you can't even see it. Leon.... Thank you, Keeper of all Birthdays Dicky.... I think a slightly contrasting grey IS in order.
Modelfreak ...glad to see you at the party, much appreciated .

Jeff, having the external FE a different shade is a common occurrence...especially since they were produced and supplied from separate factories from the vehicle/hull. It's something I do all the time (same thing with jacks) to add a little bit of visual interest.

That way there will be a good contrast with the straps. Should make it look more like something and not just a styrene lump

I see my last update was on the 20th. How did THAT happen? Anyway here we go External fire extinguisher painted, looks better I think Rear hull issues, seams, exhaust fixed and ladder added The shooter thingie glued and held in place by my VERY high tech, ultra adjustable, multi purpose, shooter thingie alignment jig And last but not least, some spare tracks installed. A few more things to do and it will be on to some weathering.

Jeez I'm such a newbie...... I still just keeep seeing a block of wood, a strip of styrene and some sprue snips I'm goin' straight round me LHS tomoz and order one....... You really need to try to keep up with all the latest technology Dicky. I will admit, it's still in the prototype stage, and not yet available for general sale. When It goes into production, I will see to it that you get one of the first offs
