Here she is! I'm done! I hope you like the end result. What's left to say? It was pretty hard on more than one occasion, but I learned a lot, trying out several new things. And now I'm reporting the tank ready for combat, in my mother language of course, as this is the only proper way to do it... TC: Klar zum Gefecht! Laden: KE! LDR: KE geladen, alle Waffen feuerbereit, Hydraulik ist ein, klar zum Gefecht!
More pics to follow...

Thanks Leon, but making a "real" base like you did for your M51 requires more craftmanship. I have to do this soon, too! Happy New Year, Tobi

LOL A friend whom I mailed the pic pointed out it's missing a shadow. I opted for a little more dynamics instead. I'm using Corel PhotoPaint Andy, best method is trial and error. That or me visiting Indiana! LOL

You visiting Indiana?!?! WHY NOT! Can not promise you that American beer is better than your country but for sure our whiskey is better. LOL
Thanks for the tip!

Crackin' result Tobi - great way to end the year Hey Dicky, thank you mate! It was a kind of a hurry on the last meters for MOM. I didn't even explain how I did the reflectors on the rear. So if anyone needs to know. The SKP lenses were limited to the lights, as the rest on the fret did look like lights also, which doesn't suite here. So instead I made discs from self adhesive chrome foil with my punch & die, hand painted them first in clear red in a diamond pattern and then sprayed over it with the AB, also with clear red. That gave the distintictive appearance of flat reflectors, IMHO. The black out lights were too big, so they were simply painted flat red, important here is that thin silver outline for greater realism. Cheers, Tobi

Hi Tobi I don't know how I missed this one. I wish I'd followed it from the beginning. You have done a cracking job on this. Just shows that the new Revell 2A4 ain't that bad and can be built into a stunner. I don't suppose you'd like to do a Leopardfibel article with me would you? Best regards Michael Shackleton Author Leopard 1 Trilogy www.leopardclub.infowww.facebook.com/leopardfibel

Best regards Michael Shackleton Author Leopard 1 Trilogy www.leopardclub.infowww.facebook.com/leopardfibelThank you very much Mike. What do you have in mind exactly? I will be writing an assembly report for the German page www.panzer-modell.de next week. I could try to translate this then and send it to you for further editing. A lot of my pictures are already available here in the thread. How does that sound for you? Cheers, Tobi

Hi Tobi Have you had a look at Leopard Club to see what we do? I'd love to do a Leoparfibel article on your 2A4 build. They don't sell in huge numbers as we are still young and the word is still spreading. But at least you will earn some pocket money for another modelling project.
If you decide yo want to do this, can you also check with panzer-modell.de to make sure they are happy?
Mail me and i will send an example of wht we do. I'll be out for a few hours now, but I'll reply when I get back and we talk some more
Cheers Michael

Because of some mental disorder I can't build models OOTB, so here come my goodies: Isn't that what AA is for? "Aftermarkets Anonymous"? Like what you've done with your Leo...nice dusty weathering from a trip to the field.

So I've heard, but they are meeting on Tuesday, which is my modeling day, as is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and the weekends. And honestly, on the very rare occasions where I take some time off, I want to spend it somewhere else!
