Congrats on the 17 years Bill. The missus and I will be hitting 22 years next month.
Good that the ship bug bit you...lol. I can't wait to see and follow your blog of that.

Very nice weathering of the Arizona, Rob. I've seen what remains of the ship and it's such a touching view... It's still leaking oil and fuel and this makes you feel more the tragedy.

The weathering and painting of small parts continues. I am also working on my PZ IV F2 at the same time so it's going slow. Attachments:

And three more from other sides/angles. Some of the streaking is very subtle and don't show well in the images. Attachments:

Thanks Luigi and Andy, I haven't spent as much time on this as before due to wanting to get the F2 done. Gonna have to finish my Nashorn as well.
Doing little weathering things here and there and slowly adding more parts, nothing major to show just yet.

Bruce, thanks. Yep quite a few pea shooters on this one. I drilled out the barrels on most of the guns, but not the tiny ones, broke my smallest drill bit.

Making good progress Rob! Can I ask one small favor perhaps? Could you not post the pics as attachments, it makes it hard to view them as ProBoards makes you click each one to open, then when you hit the back button it takes you to the top of the thread, making you scroll down to see the next pic, and so on...at least in Chrome.

Cheers fellas. Your comments are always appreciated by me. I'll wait until the show to see if another floaty hits the bench anytime soon.

Gary,Luigi - thanks guys and glad you like the old grungy Arizona..lol. I had started the rigging, mainly guess work, but have to start over now that I have some ref pics. The forward flagstaff needs to be replaced as it's way too thick. Will work on this more after the show.

Rob, AZ is looking good. Amazing what good weathering will do for an oldie but goodie. Many times better than the one I built back in ancient history. Rob, maybe for an encore a shot at the Arizona a week after Pearl Harbor. Lot's of reference pics out there of her sitting on the bottom with her crumpled superstructure and main mast leaning forward at about 60 degree tilt.

I just had to come an see one your builds Scratchmod after reading your welcome today and it's just how I pictured the Boss's work to look like (spot on and of a high standard) the old girl looks battle harden and as she would of looked had she stayed in the fight. I pick this build in particular to look at first as I definitely have soft spot for ships and out of my modest little stash of kits I have, the best by far is the Dragon 1/350 scale USS. Buchanan DD-484. I love the weathering you've done on her and hope I can replicate that look when I get around to building mine. Thanks for sharing your build Scratchmod.

Thanks for the very kind works Sabre. I haven't built a ship in ages, and used to build lots of them waaay back when. That DD-484 is on my list to buy and build. I love the Tin Cans.

Sorry but I have to ask... how did it do at the show? Can't remember if you were going to enter it or just for show on MSC table along with Todd's naked female figures... LOL
