AFV Club CRV/T Scorpion 8/24 ( CALLING THIS FINISHED )

Hi all,next on the bench is the British CRVT FV101 Scorpion.Going to follow Robbos lead and do this as a UN vehicle.So stay tuned in,hope to start this tomorrow.

Morning all,started the scorpion about an hour ago.I have to say i am really impressed with this kit so far.Very little flash and things fit together nicely so far.Only have one issue so far,the the holes in the suspension are a little big so the pin that attaches the wheel to it is a little sloppy.Going to have to be careful when i glue the wheels on and make sure they all line up perfectly.Upper hull is glued on and wheels are dry fit.

Nice start on this little fella Leon.These were great fun to drive,as long as you got the 4th gear,to 3rd downchange right.If ya didn't,you could end up eating glacis plate!!!!!

Goin to town there Leon!! Great looking turret!! Keep it moving! I feel the paint on the size...working a Pz.II right now and it feels like working on a matchbox sometimes!

Good project Leon and a real challenge. UN-white is difficult to weather, I think.

HS might be a useful technique. That and lots and lots of filters...

Hey Leon,I know these got cut down to a 50mph max speed,but in the early days they didn't have the governor fitted,and legend has it,that 2 of these raced around Hockenheim,or the Nurburgring,and hit 90+ mph!!!!!!....I know I took one down to Southsea,near where Nemo lives,doing the National speed limit!!!(70...ish! )

They did have pretty good brakes as well!!!!It was possible to stand it nearly on its sprockets!
