Leon, I know nothing about modern stuff, the model however looks nice, the turret has a lot of great detailed stuff on it.

Love it! Had to play some catch up on this Leon but she is a looker!! Sorry to hear about the tracks...question...can you stretch them? Like with the DML DS's. They account for stretchability sometimes. Trust me I know nothing of this little beast either but I di know the top run has almost no sag in it....maybe a stretch and a tug?? Just a thought!

That's a bummer on the tracks Leon! 6 links is probably too much to try stretching, something must be really off with the tracks they supplied. The rest of the work you've done here though is sharp. Love the white and all the details that you've picked out. I'd be PO'd too, is there a replacement/workable option available for this vehicle you can check out to keep it moving?

Bill, good to hear you like it so far.Much appreciated. As far as workable tracks,i am going to look into them.Dicky thinks Robbo had the same problem on his Scimter build and went with Fruils.

I love 'em Friuls... they can be so pricey but I consider them the best out of all aftermarket sets. Wish I can afford to buy them for all of my builds.

That was quick! Have you already decided about the weathering?
With all the details now picked out the white looks pretty ok to me.
Cheers, Tobi

Thanks Tobi. The white does look better with the details painted. As far as the weathering,i think i'll do some light chipping and dust effects. Most of the UN vehicle images i found show them pretty clean. Here is the only pic of a Scorpion that i found so far.

That's a nice object Leon, the rusty tracks will give plenty of contrast.
When I look at the periscopes, they seem pretty black. You could paint yours with a little Tamiya Smoke, that will give them more depth and they'll look more like glass.

Man, am I ignorant. Even after reading about you guys arguing I can hardly make out the differences! Can we agree this is a tank of British design origin, and at least it's no copy of fine German craftsmanship, but delightful British? Cheers, Tobi

Cheers, Tobi Tobi, when this fine upstanding piece of British engineering first came out, there were 6 or 7 variants using the same running gear...the 2 reconnaisance vehicles were the Scorpion(76mm gun turret),and the Scimitar(30mm Rarden cannon turret). The Scorpion was dropped in favour of the Scimitar,by the Brits, and variants of these are still used in theatre today. ...Just wait 'til Neems gets all the bits he needs.... Edit......FERK!!!!! Neems did it again!!!!!
