Thanks Bill! I was hoping to sneak down to the cave once or twice this week and see what I can get done! Seeing how the schedule permits! Your welcome Eddy!! Thanks for taking the time to check it out!

Hey fellas! A little update...the wife had to run out for a bit earlier, which allotted me a few minutes to run down to the cave and fire up the AB. Originally I was going to squirt some green on the BMP, however, something was not working quite right...rather than giving up I went after some "undercoat". I say it this way because most of it won't make a hil of beans from the application, except for a few areas I need it but it is sure fun to apply!! PRIME.. Actually I like the idea of base coating how the tank would have been painted prior to top coating her. Pre-Shade: A little Red Oxide Base to start things off! Sorry it couldn't be more but had to cook dinner for the brood! Necessary evil!! LOL!! As always, appreciate you swinging by!!

The red oxide Modulation looks great! Were the center fenders left off for shipping, to facilitate the sling straps or did they run them that way.

Thanks Bruce! They ran 'em this way. I am sure there is a plausible explanation to why...just have not found it yet!

The fenders would have blocked the escape hatches.

Looking good. What is the purpose of the red paint, are you going to use the hairspray technique? What will be the final color, Grey, yellow, 2 or 3 tone camo?

That's what I was thinking Bob! Thanks Rob! I used AK's Red oxide set...well actually on 4 colors from it. Thanks Eddy! LOL...interesting question actually...Simply I do not have an answer for that one as of yet. I think the Boss could tell you that I will often "wing it", which this is. My though was a base the same or close to how it was done. If I paint the way I think, I will have hints of the oxide in some of the creases and where the joints will be. Not much, but a hint. Second, I am in good shape for some Hair Spray on this too. I am still on the fence about color....will find out tonight maybe!! Thank you Tobias...a.k.a. Pz.II Brotha'! LOL! Hopefully more tonight...we will see!!

Thanks Luigi!! Now, what to paint it? LOL!!! Well, this tank is way out of my comfort zone, I've seen only a couple of B/W pics, but it could be panzergrau or sandgelb or anything else, as they were so blurred... I knew of the fenders as I had asked (luckily I'm not a cat, as with my curiosity I'd be already be dead )

Thanks fellas!! A really appreciate the feedback as this moves on! I have to tend to something....well sort of, tonight but I wanted to toss this up to show where I am at....far from done but shaping up I think! I can see some of the oxide in creases but faint....kind of planning that. I would have to guess a filter and/or wash will bring this out. I need to work on something for a bit but should be back at this when the time permits! After all, it is the weekend!
