Just got out of the pool to make a new cocktail after having put the veggies on top of the chicken which has been on the grill for the last hour, very low heat, with sausage and a couple hunks of dead cow. Beat that.

I'm staring at my computer screen reading this post! Just prior to that I finished up all the testing work after switching to a new ISP to make sure that I could indeed still connect to the internet, the home security system still worked, the phone worked, etc. Been a full day...wish I had a pool!

Bill, you're in Texas, I thought pools were standard equipment here. At least that's what my wife told me..... Come on over!

Bill, you're in Texas, I thought pools were standard equipment here. At least that's what my wife told me..... Come on over! That would be quite the drive for a swim but thank you kindly! Here in El Paso there was a moratorium for a long time on pool construction due to drought restrictions, so lots of homes here don't have them. They are kind of rare in fact as the 'standard' lot size in most of the new subdivisions makes it tough to shoe-horn a pool into the back and still have any kind of yard. Our house was built in 1999 at the time of the restrictions. The nearest pool I know of is about 10 miles away.

I'm staring a computer screen, but this evening I will move to my country house that lies a few minutes by bike from the beach and I'll spend the next 44 days there. I'll travel back and forth to my office, but in the afternoon I'll have some beach time every working day

A few moments ago I was putting the washing on the line (well trained/underthethumb etc etc) when I heard a noise and thought "No Can't be" (I heard the sound of a Merlin).
But it was! I looked up and there in the middle distance was a SPITFIRE!!!; completing a loop and then circling round my part of Romney Marsh. It was only in view for about 30 seconds but when It was gone I noticed the goose bumps and the elation I felt surprised me.
The old girls greatest moment/test was over 70 years ago but I defy anyone who is British not to be moved by a flying Spitfire.
I'm Done

Gary, I live in Kent about 12 miles along the coast from Dover and a little over 30 miles to Calais (by boat) not for nothing was this part of Kent nicknamed "Hellfire Corner" during the sumer of 1940. We get to See the Battle of Britain flight every now and then, but never fails to lift the spirits. Tony

Right now I'm typing in this post wondering who came up with the Sir Nemolin man? ANDY? ? And now wondering if I should play on Xbox, work on a kit, or go running naked through neighborhood screaming like a banshee!?!?! Bad visual there...... I just sent out another batch of resumes, had a couple of phone conversations about jobs, talked to a buddy of mine who's in the same boat. I have now worn out one supposedly "heavy duty commercial" weed-eater. Wife's on the way home from a temp job and we're gonna hop on the bikes and burn off some energy, get some endorphins.

Well... I am facing a new approach in modeling. There for awhile I thought being involved in a bunch of group builds would fill my needs but after a certain owner showed his IQ and shared other things as well a new direction is in store for me. It was the right decision and a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. If I am to be unappreciated then why bother. Hopefully I can get involved right here with a few projects. Jeff

A few years ago at a family wedding outside of Epping, we had a flyover by a Spitfire right in the middle of the photographs, Poor bloody photographer must have had 4or 5 pic with the lot of us gazing shyward in awe!
