Third update? Sounds like you are BACK! Man now I am confused... was leaning toward to T-80 for my first Russian modern tank. Damn it!

Thanks guys Mark, I will try my hands at it. In case of need, I'll dial F-R-I-U-L Andy, if I had to choose, I'd go for the T-72. So many options, it's used in all the world and in most of the latest conflicts...

Coming in on this one really late. The tank is sweet Luigi. And the desk.. well don't they look nice when they are new. NOW GET IN THERE AND MESS IT UP!

Marc, if I take a pic of the bench right now, you'll see Andy faint It's not nearly as neat as in those pics Carl, gotta do the tracks and then I'll add the last details before paint. I hope to paint it together with the BTR, as they will be of the same shade of green, at least as a base. Bill, you know, it's the hurdle I have to pass... I have to be sure I can glue them and return to the bench when they're still soft. This means having a modeling evening. Unfortunately this can happen only during weekend, and probably not the next one

Nice to see her feet hit the ground Luigi!!! (typing quietly)...go ahead, shot a pic of the bench, might be fun to watch Andy shake wildly and faint!!

I know what you mean Lui, getting a solid block of time for tracks is always a challenge!

Yep, I'm always afraid when I have to take on them, there's always something that puts itself between me and the job... Neems, it took only two new benches and half a BTR and a Topolino... I hope it won't take as much time to have the tracks done

Ok, I must be totally insane, but after seeing MZ3's fantastic pipework fro his T-55, I decided to scrap mine and redo it from the start. I know it's not going to be even close to his perfection, but each time I looked at my pipework I felt the urge to make it better. So I detached both fenders (as this will help me not only to do the pipes, but also to do the tracks), and carefully drilled two holes in each tank to put the pipes in. I then bent the first section of pipe, added the sleeves and the closing wire. I also redid the external attachments to depict their real configuration:

Surprise, surprise, here's a little progress on this one: I almost finished the first run of tracks, hopefully I will have them done by tomorrow.

I did some more on this one. First of all I managed to finish the second track run: so I could spray some primer on both: I also redid all the large handles on the turret, as the plastic one were definitely too brittle and kept braking each time I touched them: Hope you guys like what I did. I'm finishing the fuel pipes, so paint is not far.

I think I've made it to a thin enough putty tarp: I've chosen the putty instead of tissue paper as I can bend it more easily to achieve the shape I want.

Here's the smallest update ever: I somehow found the time to do the first invasion stripe. I masked the edges with tamiya tape to have a hard edge, then handpainted over the edges to achieve the uneven look they had.

I finally had the time to do something on this one too. I bought some suitable paint and did the czech flag: I really like the outcome, the colour spots add a twist to the overall green.
