When it grows up it wants to be a tank just like the big brothers it has posed next to. An outstanding job on this wee beastie. A very well done Pz I. Truth be told, every now and again it is just fun to build a wee beastie. Dave

Dicky - Thank you brother, this was more than a learning experience. It was FUN! Leon - Thank you sir. I appreciate your following and contributing to the build. Dave - Thanks, the little monster looks right at home on the shelf for sure. This is as small as I want to go though! Imatanker - Thank you! I cannot imagine spending more that a few minutes in this much less all day and night. Bill - Thanks sir! She's definately a worthy addition to my DAK collection. Gary - Thank you sir! Living in the desert gives one an unfair advantage . I have ready references at very construction site. Carl - Appreciate that sir! Truth be told that rust was the easiest part of the finishing. Now if I can do it again on the next one.................... Tonylee - Almost as prolific as you sir! Thank you for joining me. Detailfreak - Thnk you sir! There's more DAK waiting on the shelves and more to come. G

Wow, she's turned out great! Top job all round G-Man Andy Leffler and I have been swapping ideas for a potential future GB and I know Andy wants to do a DAK GB and I haven't built a DAK machine before so the GB idea looks like it's set in stone. One question - I have Dragons Flakpanzer 1A in the stash. Would these have ever been seen in service with the Afrika Corps? I think not but the question has to be asked! Cheers, Ben

Excellent finish for this one. It's actually kind of odd to see one of these in something other than panzer grey.

I think not but the question has to be asked! Cheers, Ben Nope, Flakpanzer Is only saw service on the Eastern Front and then not for very long...poor things were over-stressed by the weight of the gun, prone to break-downs, and woefully inadequate in terms of crew accommodations and ammo capacity even when towing a trailer of their own. I can only imagine what life would have been like with one of them in the desert!

Thanks guys for jumping in to answer Hinksy. I haven't had time to get on the site due to work issues. I have seen the Panzer Jaeger I in Africa, but that's about it. Thanks Woots! afv - While I think there is nothing wrong with Panzer Gray, I like variety! Bowtie - Thank you sir! There's more of mine in the gallery. Rob - I really thought the three together would be a striking pic. Guess I was right! Ok chaps off to work I go. No power in the building today, maintanence you know, so I will be back tonight. G

Cheers afvfan, G and Bill, I thought as much but the question had to be asked all the same Like Andy I have a real soft-spot for these little Pz. IA's and think they look killer when sporting the DAK scheme. This is a stonking little build - especially when put up against it's bigger brothers! Great work all round Ben

Thanks Leon. I got that idea when Gary and I were watching BigJohns M4 Jumbo build. He built Cobra King and asked for critique. I for one saw no inconsistencies and when I made a BW photo it confirmed that the model looked right on compared to known pics of the real tank. I have done this a few times on my builds as I believe it is a good way to compare.
Bruce I really should do that. I'd have all my bills paid and money in the bank in no time!
Small update, I hobbled outside and primed the figure that I am using with this build. Pics later as the pain meds are making me a bit loopy. G
