In trying to keep this going, I have been making some masters of the ties/sleepers to then make molds and cast these in resin. There are four types I am working on. One high profile, one low profile to have embedded in the earth, and two types of plates/retainers. Still a bit more to do and also have to make fur more low profile ties/sleepers. Then they are off to have cast in resin. Sorry for the bad pics, will take better ones when they are done.

Thanks jackwagon. Small stuff there that took a bit to get numerous identical parts...not to mention the tiny nut/bolts. I ended up making another version of the sleepers..lol...that makes 5 types. I'm gonna have a huge stock pile of these babies..lol

Hiya fellas Thanks for all the great comments and very glad to hear you like the ties. As for AM product, that is up to Steve (Celticwerks). I am giving him the masters and just need enough castings for this project, which will be a lot..lol
I finished off the 5th type of tie/sleeper and just have to hit them all lightly with a nylon brush. I'll try and take a few better pics of the lot later today.

Finally...a little update! Not much, but it will need to suffice for a couple of few days! The carriage is together. I have a few handles and such and of course the underside needs to be buttoned up but at least moving forward! The brass rod was needed to replace the brake linkage rod...I just did not want to clean up another tinny A$$ styrene rod...LOL!!!! Once the bottom gets buttoned up I will be cutting away on the new coffee stirrer decking!! Perfect btw...exact thickness and the width is slightly less than what DML was depicting. That be that for today! It will take a few more days until I can revisit this....there are a few things on the bench that need tending too!! One being something about painting a D9! As always, thanks for swinging by!

woohooo
Now that is what I was waiting for. Some fantastic, and clean, building brother. The new wood planks look perfect. Also like the brass rod. Can't blame you for not wanting to clean the kit rods, actually were very easy.

Thanks Boss! I think the new planks will work well!! I hear you on the clean up...just gave up wanting to sand them. Seems DML are missing a section of the brake rods. Guessing I might have a bit more work uderneath yet to go.

That's a great job, Todd Unfortunately here the stirrers are made in plastic and way shorter than those. Otherwise I'd be on the hunt for them
