I think you've got to be careful with that Chia-pot idea Carl...you might get sprouting cat dumplings in unexpected places! You've got to be more circumspect in your phraseology my good sir...now you've got both Gary and Andy speculating about dirty rear ends...that can't be good!

You did a great job on thinning down the plates; The reason I used a cupper plate was that I added the triangle reinforcements on the bottom of the side plates of the drivers compartment so the side plates of the motor compartment came wider and I had to adjust the top plate. Eddy

This vehicle was not used for close combat in its anti tank role the gun could penetrate 105mm of armor at 1000m so no heavy armored plates were needed. I only know of one vehicle destroyed in France and that was by friendly fire in fact a STUKA destroyed some armored vehicles in a French village.

Joe , nothing special at my bench my friend . Mark , thanks . Eddy , I've had few fit fit issues up front but the engine covers has been the least of my headaches so I went with the kit parts . I know some of accuracy may be off but I'm livin with it . Hey Pete thanks for lookin in again . Eddy , according to Achtung Panzer they were also to be used against fortified positions . Were they used that way ? I don't know . www.achtungpanzer.com/88cm-flak-18-selbstfahrlafette-auf-zugkraftwagen-12t.htm

Hey guys ! Thanks for looking in on the progress ,above .Getting your comments is really important to me my friends . I mean really ! Lol about where the Kitty mud ( and dumplings ) is going here ! Los , I used some mig pigments Russian earth on the wheels and tracks along with the kitty mud . The kitty mud turns out to be larger clumps (omg , dumplings ?) that did not work well on the fine detail of the wheels and tracks . The pigments worked better to get the color and still show the details . Besides ,as per Bill's comment , picking out those dumplings got annoying ! I'm glad you guys liked the results up above . It took several long sessions at the bench to get the final look . I removed everything (dirt related )and started over several times . Joe I think the only reason I get the results is because I can spend the time at the bench now . Especially what with the frigid temps you and I have been experiencing in our neck of the woods . I cropped the pic because my lighting was reflecting off of the yellow plastic of the gun deck and was distracting .

Eddy , what is your final conclusion on what this square shape on the passenger side of the cab is ? Base plate for the jack ? I looked at your build but cant decide what its purpose is .

Hey Carl, Indeed, that is probably the base plate of the Jack, it was in metal with an anti slipping surface Trumpeter made a square opening in the side plate, but there was none in the real thing, because the inside is visible it is better to close it, I think. Eddy
