Good Morning Carl, What an outstanding build to get caught up on over a cup (or two) of java. The weathering on the engine and chassis is simply amazing. It's certainly given me a fair bit of inspiration to hit the bench today.

Hey guys hope everyone is doing and feeling as goog as you can ........i for one am . I went to bed at 2 am local time . Dozed off . And an hr later woke up thinking bout his piece of molded plastic that i have spent so much time with here . Rediculouse ! No wonder mu Sun Andy ask about marrying these things ....after all we spend so much time with them ................and just like a woman they are fickle and stuborn ! Anyway i kinda sorta got things lined up but unless i take the suspension apart and look at the chasis ............well that would be going over the top to sorrect what minor tweaking is left to do . That little bit can be done with some shims and sanding , cutting and other maniale contributions at the bench , I didnt stop till 7 am local . Fooooffff !
Pete that mud held onto the plastis real well durring the take apart .
Andy my Sun all is well and when i get things back together i'll click a pic .
Gary , i wanted to take a pic of the twist i puttin into that frame but me hands were full bro .
Paulh , good to know your out there looking in , never enough audience to be watching my frantic model fabrication / de-fabrication .
Dave , always good to know i can inspire a fellow member .
Well now my internal clock is really fouled up !
Later guys .

I've been there before Carl! My wife swears up and down that I've woken her up in the middle of the night in order to explain to her how I was going to fix something on a proper build...in my sleep! That was back when I used to do model work in the evenings before I relegated it to weekends only.

Fantastic work Carl. I am sooooo tempted to break out my Trumpy kit and have fun with the motor. I need to dig up ref pics of the motor and firewall so I can add detail like wires etc. Nice fix on the tracks btw.

Got the alignment fixed . I'm leaving the front fenders off till I get them painted . Meanwhile I went ahead and did more weathering on the tracks , wheels . Took some mud off the tires . This may or may not be the final look of the running gear .

I cut out from the bench early last night . Got some more weathering/muddage/chalkage/pigmentage done on the rest of the running gear . Pete and Leon , aint that the weirdest looking thing ?! Imagine trying to see where your going out of them little viewing ports . Probably that's what caused this rollover . Rob , ooooohh ! Rail dio you say ? That's gonna be something for me to be looking forward to Boss ! Tojo , well its good haven you check in my friend ! G, I hope so , I'm tryin to keep it that way . Nems , yes it did feel good to get er fixed straight . Turns out it was a combination of about four places that were misaligned just a smidgin .

That kind of 'incident' would ruin your day for sure! Nice save on the alignment recovery Carl, cab gives it a mean look...almost a 'post apocalypse' feel.

Sorry for being late to the party, Carl. I really liked the muddy look of the tires, and I really like the way they look now. The chassis save was a masterpiece, mate. Can't wait to see more of this

Lui , I've done some more changes on the muddification and more tweaking was required last night . I added some shimes on the right side of the vehicle between the frame and fenders to get it alligned better . Hopefully that's the end of the tweaking . Here's the parts for the engine cover after I thinned them to scale , more or less accurate . As they came in the kit they were about 2 inches thick in 1/35th scale . This is one strange looking vehicle already .Should be fun getting the paint and weathering on it .

What an awkward beast... Surely Nazi designers lacked in sense of humour. Great job mate

LOL...LOVE IT!! Nice job on the thin down! Almost could have used some thick brass shim stock to fabricate some mirror images....but you got this licked pretty well!!

Lui , it does make a person wonder what the designers had in mind ! This thing setting out in the open firing at a protected bunker with nothing but sheet metal for protection ? T , or sheet plastic ? Heck , I didn't think of either of those options . Eddy used either copper or brass on his rendition of this model .......but I went for the sanding technique ........why ? Hey , its how I am .

Great dirty effects there Carl!! Working with what you have in front of you!! Not always a bad thing!!! The brass or plastic would have been fairly straight forward I think with those nice flat panels...maybe even a bit fun with the soldering, of the brass of course. Maybe the next time around...LOL!!

I haven't tried the brass soldering yet but this would of been a good place to start .I've gotta get one of those mini solder guns for some of the p.e. work . T , I looked at a lot of pictures of muddied vehicles vehicles and the mud looked the same shade of color as what I have in the garden ......at least IMHO . Only thing to watch out for is those dang cat dumplings ! I was also wondering if some of the seeds I planted out there might sprout now in my warm house ? Some new kinda of Chia pet pot .
