This one is bookmarked Rob! I just love old sail boat. I've put 100+ hours on the infamous Soleil Royal from heller, it was going great until the cat pushed it down from it´s supposed cat proof 7 feet high shelf. It blew it exploded... Sooo all of that to say this: if you have a cat BEWARE! They like exploding sail boats. Phil.

Oi you lot, pay attention please Done a bit more but only just got on the PC to update the blog. First thing is the saying "silk purse from a sows ear" is in play here and I'll start by showing you why Sink mark? more like craters Flash Broken and damaged parts Despite this I'm going to make this into something if it kills me. Started by getting the stand ready for priming and a gold paint job Added some more small boats (launches)and a steering wheel to the parts section Then started work on a raised deck section at the pointy end of the ship also adding a long stick thing to the front in the process also some thing that I think pull the anchor up These parts are all dry fitted and will be removed for painting which has got to start very soon, like, tomorrow Thanks for following chaps

Hiya Robbo, making good progress here buddy These olde Airfix kits can be a challenge ! looking at that stand though you may be better off mounting it on beams like this corvette by Kieran Griffith on ModelWarship gallery. Picture for reference only!

A good on deck shot for painting reference, that wood looks a loot darker in this photo eh? The deck looks grey and very dry and unvarnished probably a wood preservative rather than a stain
