At the risk of sounding like a broken record, how do you manage that tiny stuff!! Magnificent results

Thanks Mark, if you can imagine a finer detailed part of a 1/35 model kit and times it by 3 ... sometimes 4 then you have a 1/72 kit . The secret is to take breaks i.e go paint something or research a vehicle so you get a bit of variety plus avoid the risk of styrene blindness Deano

Many thanks Craig , still weathering this one but managed to knock up a small base out of card for a base ................ Poured the plaster sub layer which I will paint tomorrow , added the Brummy for track marks and final positioning . Not very pretty at the moment but you gotta start somewhere lol

Perfect home for the Brummy there Deano, looking good so far, after all it's meant to portray ground chewed up by tracked vehicles so it doesn't have to be Andy-level gorgeous.

Great start on the base! Bear with me... I am little slow... what did you use for the base? Is it really made of plaster as in whole?

Thanks guys, yeah Bill still got another layer which will be even more chewed up . Andy 'Bear with me' you crack me up dude lol , plaster is whats on top ... it is a card box with foam in the center and plaster poured So now we have a Brummy on mud pie! Gonna make a mud mix with earth, pigments and paint .... should get this done tonight .

Thanks Gary need to get busy with the dirt and decide on a couple of figs . Unfortunately there is not a great selection of good 1/72 figures on the market so deciding can be hard work lol

At your pace of work Deano I'm sure you chew through the available fig range too pretty quickly. Looking forward to more on the Brummy Mud Pie!

Real impressive again Deano, I'm still amazed at the results you get in 1/72 Might give this scale a go myself as the price of 1/35 stuff is scary

Thans fella's , Steve you sould give it a go and if you dont like it then there is nothing lost ..... you can get a half decent 1/72 kit for as little as a tenner Ok second layer is on the base which is an earth mix , this also adds to fixing the model to the base but I do mount fixing pins as well .... Next is mud pigments and washes ..... and those pesky figures .

Hey Deano, I do so like a well built and painted/weathered Braille build! Great work going on here. I love the Brummbar anyway and know how tricky it was building a heavily detailed 1/35 Dragon Brummbar. I've attempted to build small scale before and will again but so far my attempts have been a bit My friend John builds mainly 1/76 & 1/72 and seeing these things up close is stunning! I have a lot of admiration for the modeller who can knock out a great braille build! Keep updates coming! Please! Ben

Thanks ever so much fella's , really appreciate your comments and stopping by Hey Ben , you should definately give it another go those 1/72 Dragon kits are like a box of Pringles .....' once you've popped you..... I find that if you treat 1/72 with the same respect as 1/35 then you can get good results Anyhoo with working loads at the weekend and feeling poorly I have not managed to get anything done here but hoping to change that this evening
