phil i dont think dicky has anything to worry about on that front. Don't sell yerself short Joe! You do a fantastic job with the white stuff, and the rate you are cranking this stuff out, I think Dicky may need to start worrying sooner rather than later!! Fantastic work bud! Cheers, Sam

Wow what a great job of modeling and scratching ( ...NO, not that kind-geesh-he's so silly). Your redo has been a vast improvement;Seems you're like me, the first was rushed because it was so exciting and ya needed to see results, NOW, of your great plan/ideas. Then on second thought you realize you'll only be happy if you do it right and that takes stripping it out, remaking and taking the time needed. So it would seem you are right on schedule for this build- Congratulations . This, is going to be a pleasure to watch- want some popcorn? "mit pur ib goob....chomp crunch chomp

steve you are very kind. thank you.
it was a bit of a rush, but more out of my building past than just seeing the results. to be honest i jumped when i should have been studying more. i leaped into the building of the internals before i had even really looked at what really needed to go there. in the beginning i was proceeding off of a few grainy photos and a poor drawing. the more i looked at it the more unhappy i was with the results. after i looked at the internals with the "wiring and pipping" i just couldnt get over how wrong it looked. i then had the opportunity to gawk at some work of an experienced builder of cutaway aircraft, then the experience to actually "chat" with him on facebook. that sealed it. i had to start from step one and do it up to the absolute best i could.
when i began this project i was thinking i could "flub" my way through. i was thinking of my experiences with some of the limited scratchbuilding i had done. my plan was much larger than my abilities. now i am moving slower with much better material for reference and the results are more to where i want them. they are not 100% accurate but they are much more logical now than they were.
i hope to be able to move forward a bit more this week/weekend. been more than a touch occupied here lately and my building has suffered some.

Joe,the rework you have done on the electric/hydraulic conduits seem a lot more logical to me.I haven't seen full schematics of aircraft, but the basic thinking is always run the shortest route,to keep weight down, and keep it strapped tight,so it can't vibrate and chafe.

you are both very kind, as ususual.
chris the conduits and the pipping seem to rise from the area of the tank, aft the access door, rising and crossing to the rear of the fuel tank and to the nose side of the radio equipment. when i got to looking at this i realized mine would not work that way so i went with what appeared to be a logical choice. i still need to set up the radios, dynamotor, and the wiring and pipping for them. following that i can get some color back on and move towards the pit.

That's why I have to help adjust CB's seat belt every time we got to a show....... he hates vibrating!!! Strangely enuff he never moans about the chafing Joe,no disrespect meant, but I gotta tell Dicky 'I Swallowed',before I posted here!!!!(Don't Ask!!!)He's just looking to do a bit of stirring amongst us wingyists, don't pay him any attention,eh? Your mods look good to me mate......Keep her cooking,eh?

well how about a quickie update. i think i have worked this through enough that i can be satisfied. first up here are the two radio sets. and the internals all mocked up. this looks much better to my eyes. enough detail to attract attention and not too much to have the cluttered look. all comments, critiques, and criticism are encouraged. joe

Pay no attention to those "off topic-ers", Joe. We know your great model is the heart of this build report; Looking forward to your next installment.any pretended lack of understanding, of my supremely funny and spot on emoticons, by those others, is irrelevant .....so there! .

well just another quickie update. the more i looked at the pit area the more it just didnt fit my idea of what i needed to have so yesterday i spent some time with pictures, strip, and channel pieces. this took me a couple of hours of intense study of a couple of pictures and several miscuts. the result..... and ........ tbh this isnt 100% accurate but it is something that i, after sitting and staring at the work i did and then the pictures, then the work, then the pictures..........for about two hours, can live with. i have just a couple of small stringers to add near the forward bulkhead. so now i believe i can, with a smile, move forward to the pit. ohh and i figure i will paint when i get towards the nose more so that i can get it all in one session. comments, critiques, and criticism are very much encouraged. joe
