The stowage and running gear are looking excellent. If you want to pick out the details on the sand colored tank body I would suggest AK's DAK wash.
Cheers, Tobi

Nice transformation on this one Leon with the dusting and stowage. The gents have steered you right in terms of a wash to pick out the details and make 'em pop. Looking forward to the next round on this one.

Agree with guys... catching up here after being away. Love the dusty look... can't wait to see pin washes... it will make all details pop especially the rivets on the front hull.

Leon, M51 is really lookin great my brother! Ive used cheap kite string for my rope material. You can paint it any color ya want. I clip to length and burn the tip as not to fray then use cheap walmart artist acrylics and paint before i use on the model. Examples

Andy, glad you like it so far .Hope to do the pin wash this week. Jeff thanks for the suggestion on the twisted wire .Thought about thread but i think it looks to small for this scale. Gary, thanks for your comment .Thanks for the suggestion on the kite string, that's exactly what I'm looking for and the look I'm after.

First of all, what a nice job. I really like the outcome For the wash I'd go with burnt umber oil paint, as per Dicky's suggestion For the rope I've used thick sewing thread, easy to paint with both acrylics and oils.

Hey brother Leon, I can see some pin wash on certain areas but not others. What color did ya use for pin wash? Could just be my eyes playin tricks on me. Anyways, this is a damn fine build and really gets the juices flowin to build one.

Gary i experimented and used the AK filter for NATO tanks.Bro your eyes are fine ,the wash doesn't show up well in the pics.Think i'm going to give it another wash to see if it will darken up a bit.

You might want to try something a little darker to add some depth Leon. Perhaps a Raw Sienna or Raw Umber?
